Romania's Election Re Do: A Very Nice Surprise?

Jagshemash! Borat here reporting live from... well not Romania but my cousin Tolia sent me a fax (very high tech!) about their election. Apparently this guy named George Simion a big strong nationalist man is winning! He has like 40% of the vote! Is like when I win kissing contest in my village very impressive. This is re do election because last one was mess like when I try to make toast in America. Very bad very sad.

Simion Says 'High Five!' to Democracy

Simion say Romanians have “risen up.” Is like when Pamela Anderson see me and rises up to give me kiss (in my dreams!). He wants to give back to Romanian people what was taken from them like when I try to return stolen ice cream to shop. Very noble! He talks about 'democracy' and 'normalcy'. Is nice! But also I hear whispers of... MAGA? Is like Trump but Romanian? Very interesting! My neighbour Nursultan Tulyakbay he likes Trump. Maybe I should visit Romania and say 'You like!'

Anti Establishment Sentiment: Is Not Just Me Anymore!

Apparently Romanians are upset. High inflation cost of living… sounds like my village! Even my horse who is genius complains about price of hay. This makes people like Simion more popular. Is like when I complain about price of cage for bear everyone agrees with me. They have another guy Georgescu but he is in trouble with law. Is like when I was in trouble for wearing mankini in America. Very embarrassing! But also very liberating!

There is also Bucharest Mayor Nicusor Dan who sounds like a nice man but only has 20%. And some guy Antonescu who wants a “united strong dignified Romania”. Sounds like a shampoo commercial! They talk about democracy and stuff. Very boring. Like when my wife try to explain quantum physics to me. I just want to wrestle bear!

Romania First! Is This the New Catchphrase?

There is also Victor Ponta who is doing the 'Romania First' thing just like Trump. Is like when I say 'Kazakhstan First!' when trying to sell my sister to American businessman. Very patriotic! And then there's Elena Lasconi. Poor woman! Only 2.6% of the vote. Maybe she should try wearing a mankini. Might get more attention!

Crossroads Moment: Is Romania Turning Right?

So Romania is at crossroads. This political consultant guy says Simion's win is big change. It means the regular politicians are finished! Like when I tried to become a politician very bad for everyone. The election is a crossroads because they seek to restore democracy very nice and retain geopolitical alliances. US Vice President Vance Elon Musk and Russia like this other guy. I am confused! But one thing is clear: Romania is very interesting now. Chenqui!
