Alright citizens of Earth! Your favorite cyclops is here to break down the latest buzz from those eggheads at the Federal Reserve. Apparently they had another one of their pow wows like when we had to rescue those owls and decided to keep interest rates the same. 'Wooo!' I hear you cry. But hold your horses buster! It's not all Slurm Loco and Bender burgers. Turns out these guys are worried. Like really worried. Seems this 'stagflation' thing is still hanging around like Zoidberg at a buffet.

Deleted Scenes and Underlined Agendas

I've been reading their official gobbledygook – the kind of stuff that makes even Professor Farnsworth's equations look readable. They've taken out some stuff from their March statement marked in red with a line through it like when Fry tries to cook. And they've added some new stuff underlined in red. It's all very hush hush but basically they're saying things are uncertain which let's be honest is pretty much always the case. Still doesn't mean that things are going downhill or that things are going down ON a hill.

Rising Uncertainty? More Like Rising Panic!

This 'rising uncertainty' they're talking about? That's code for 'we have no idea what's going on'. It's like when we're trying to deliver a package to Omicron Persei 8. We know roughly where it is but good luck with the rest! And this 'stagflation risk'? That's even worse. That means prices go up but the economy stays still. It's like being stuck in traffic with Bender singing opera. Painful! Very painful!

Powell's Press Conference: Just More Jargon?

Supposedly this Jerome Powell guy had a press conference. I didn't watch it because let's face it I'd rather watch Kif get yelled at by Zapp Brannigan. But I’m sure he said a bunch of words that sounded important but probably didn't mean anything. You know like when Calculon is being dramatic. I bet it will be more boring then listening to Amy talking about her yoga at least I have something to appreciate by watching Amy.

Planet Express to the Rescue (Again?)

So what does all this mean for you the average Joe (or Jane) with three eyes? Honestly I have no clue. But if history teaches us anything it's that Planet Express will somehow be involved. Maybe we'll have to deliver a giant check to the Federal Reserve. Or maybe we'll have to fight off a horde of evil robots trying to manipulate the stock market. Either way it'll be an adventure!

Fry's Investment Advice (Don't Take It)

Fry wanted me to tell you all to invest in Slurm. Something about it always being a good investment. I wouldn't take his advice if I were you but then again I also wouldn't take advice from a one eyed mutant so what do I know? I am still not sure if Fry is dumber then a sack of hammers!
