Alright alright settle down you pathetic earthlings! Doctor Evil is here to report on the *shocking* news from the world of electric vehicles. Apparently some Chinese companies are making *billions* of these battery powered contraptions. It's all part of my plan! Well it will be once I figure out how to weaponize them with frickin' laser beams!

Xpeng: More Like X cellent!

First up we have Xpeng. They delivered 35,045 vehicles in April! That's like a lot of cars. A *bloody* lot! And a 273% increase year on year? Good heavens Scott! At this rate they will surpass Mini Me's height by tomorrow.

Leapmotor: Leaping to the Top!

Then there's Leapmotor. These guys leaped over the 40,000 mark! 41,039 to be precise. These numbers are threatening my evil empire aren't they? The name suits them now I need to figure out how to get a head start.

Nio: Not Quite as Evil as Me

Nio… delivered 19,269 vehicles. Good but not evil genius level. However they do get points for having sub brands called Onvo and Firefly. I could totally use those names for my henchmen. Onvo... I like it!

BYD: The EV Juggernaut

BYD sold 372,615 passenger vehicles in April! Three hundred and seventy two THOUSAND! I mean that's almost as many cats as I have! Almost! But don't think I'm impressed. I'm Doctor Evil! I invented the weather machine!

Safety First (Until I Get My Hands On Them!)

But then there's this SU7 vehicle crash. Three people dead! Accidents happen Austin! But it did lead to increased focus on safety with this "Lidar" thing. Light detection and ranging...sounds like a plot device from one of Austin's movies. I need to get my hands on one of these Lidars! Then I'll finally have my frickin' laser beams!
