Like when I win arm wrestling match against Azamat! They say earnings per share are 96 cents more than the 94 cents the experts predict. Very nice! Revenue also very high $7.44 billion which is more than the $7.13 billion they expect. Is like winning the lottery... if the lottery give you computer parts.

Lisa Su: She Is Not My Sister!

Lisa Su the strong woman leader of AMD she says they do good despite fighting the rules about selling AI chips to China. This is like trying to sell horse to village where everyone ride camel! She say the rules cost them $800 million. Ouch! That's enough to buy many many new tractors for Kazakstan... or maybe just one very fancy toilet.

China China Problems Everywhere!

More bad news! Because of these export controls AMD think they lose $700 million this quarter. And for the whole year maybe $1.5 billion! Is like wife spending all my money on new pots and pans... but much much worse! Lisa Su say they have "headwinds" but also "powerful tailwinds." Is like trying to fly kite in tornado. But don't worry! AMD still make lots of money. Net income is $709 million way more than last year. Revenue go up 36%! Very very nice! They sell lots of computer brains for servers and also the "big GPUs" for AI. Is like selling vodka at wedding... everyone want it!

AI Is Magic But Expensive!

Lisa Su say AMD chips used to train AI. She say big AI company use AMD chips to make their services work. Is like teaching sheep to fly plane! Maybe little bit confusing but very impressive! They make $5 billion in AI GPU sales in 2024. Data center sales also go up 57%. Very good for AMD! Not as good as Pamela Anderson but still good!

Gaming Is Down... Wah Weh!

The only bad news is that gaming sales go down 30%. This is because they sell less chips for game consoles. Is like movie theater with no movie! Very sad! But laptop and PC chips sales are up 68%! This is because of new chips called Zen 5. So some good some bad. Is like life in Kazakstan!
