Doh! Michelle Wie West's Got a Hole-In-One for Women's Sports!

Woohoo! It's Homer Simpson reporting live from my couch (donuts are involved naturally). Turns out that Michelle Wie West – you know the golfin' gal – is doin' somethin' good with her time. She's puttin' her money where her mouth is and investin' in Togethxr a company that wants more folks watchin' women's sports. Now I don't usually watch sports unless they involve beer and nachos but even I gotta admit fair is fair!

Togethxr? Sounds Like a Fancy Donut!

So this Togethxr thingy they're all about gettin' more cash and eyeballs on women's sports. Apparently Michelle the Stanford grad (smart cookie!) quit swingin' clubs professionally last year to focus on stuff like this. She says she's got the 'time and space' now. Sounds like retirement to me! More time for donuts I mean making the world a better place one sport at a time. Doh! I almost forgot my priorities.

Mizuho? Is That a New Kind of Beer?

Hold on to your hats! Michelle also signed a deal with Mizuho (sounds Japanese maybe they have good beer?). She's gonna be a 'brand ambassador' and host a tournament. The Mizuho Americas Open fancy pants! And get this – the prize money is gonna be HUGE! Like $3.25 million huge! Mmm money...

Golf: So Important Even I Could Do It (Maybe)

Michelle says golf is important for gettin' more women into business. Apparently it 'opens doors.' Now I've never opened any doors with a golf club but I have used it to open a can of Duff beer. Does that count? She also said that golf can be 'intimidating' to learn. Tell me about it! Last time I tried I almost took out Mr. Burns. 'Excellent!'...ly dangerous that is.

TGL? Sounds Like a Delicious Sandwich

And there's more! She's workin' with this TGL thing – some kind of simulated golf league (Simulated?! Where's the fun in that?!). She wants to get women involved. Good for her! Maybe they can add a donut eating contest to the simulation. Now THAT'S a sport I'd watch!

So there you have it folks! Michelle Wie West is out there makin' a difference one golf club swing and investment at a time. Maybe this means more women will get into sports and maybe just maybe I'll finally understand the rules of golf. Doh! Probably not. But hey at least she's not sellin' out to Globex.
