Mwahahaha! Finally some good news for my… I mean the *pharmaceutical* industry. It seems that Trump yes *that* Trump has issued an executive order. This so called "Inflation Reduction Act" was a real pain in my… pinky! With this executive order Trump targets a key provision that allows Medicare to negotiate drug prices. Negotiate! As if! I could buy and sell Medicare with my spare change! This is worse than the time I lost my Mojo!

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Gets the Ball. Will He Drop It?

This order tasks Robert F. Kennedy Jr. now apparently some sort of Health and Human Services bigwig to work with Congress. To MODIFY the Medicare drug price negotiation rules. Specifically this "pill penalty," which is a ludicrous distinction between small molecule drugs and biologics. Biologics get a 13 year reprieve from negotiations while those pathetic small molecule drugs get a measly nine years. Nine years! That's like only having ONE million dollars! The *horror*!

Small Molecule Drugs Big Problem. For Evil?

The pharmaceutical companies have been whining about this discrepancy for ages calling it a "pill penalty" that discourages investment in small molecule drugs. And they're RIGHT! I mean the pharmaceutical industry is correct. Small molecule drugs are easier and cheaper to manufacture but this penalty is a blatant attempt to suppress drug innovation! If I had it my way the penalty would apply to biologics! Perhaps they should all be relocated to a volcano lair and left to fend for themselves.

A Bipartisan Agreement? Unlikely! Unless Evil is Involved.

Now lawmakers on both sides are receptive to this change? Bipartisan agreement? Sounds fishy to me. Unless of course I orchestrated the whole thing from behind the scenes. I mean I *am* Doctor Evil! But seriously this could have huge implications for drugmakers patients and… ugh… Medicare's spending. Spending! It is outrageous!
