Blast Off! Sutskever Takes the Helm at Safe Superintelligence After Meta's AI Power Grab Fails!

Back in the Saddle Again!

Oh gloopy gloop! Looks like yours truly has a front row seat to the AI wars. Ilya Sutskever a name that rolls off the tongue like a fine Chateau Margaux (or you know like my nemesis Bertram's unfortunate tummy rolls) is back in charge at Safe Superintelligence. Apparently this Meta led by that soulless ginger Zuckerberg tried to snatch them up. The nerve! It's like when Brian tries to steal my sherry utterly unacceptable!

Meta's Mishap: More Like Meta Mess!

Zuckerberg in his infinite wisdom (or lack thereof) embarked on a hiring spree throwing billions at anyone who can string two lines of code together. He even nabbed some folks from Scale AI. Good for them I guess. But trying to swallow Safe Superintelligence whole? Tsk tsk. It seems Sutskever wasn't having any of it. Perhaps he sensed Zuckerberg's robotic intentions? After all I'm the only evil genius this world needs!

Gross Departure But Not in a Good Way!

Now Daniel Gross the former CEO of Safe Superintelligence is out. Seems his time was 'winding down.' Oh how terribly vague! One can only imagine the boardroom drama. Was it a case of 'et tu Brute' or simply a matter of clashing bow ties? Whatever the reason Sutskever is back promising to keep things independent. Good luck with that my friend. You'll need it.

Safe Superintelligence: A $32 Billion Target!

Did you hear that Lois? Thirty two *billion* dollars! That's enough to buy all the Rupert Grint memorabilia I could ever want...and still have enough left over to fund my world domination scheme. It's no wonder Zuckerberg was drooling. Safe Superintelligence is a hot commodity and Sutskever is determined to keep it out of the clutches of that data sucking fiend.

The Team Stays Put

According to Sutskever 'We have the compute we have the team and we know what to do. Together we will keep building safe superintelligence.' Oh goody sounds like someone actually knows what they are doing unlike some other people I know Peter cough cough... Anyways it’s nice that Daniel Levy will now serve as president and the company's technical team will continue to report to Sutskever.

Superalignment Super Departure!

And let's not forget Sutskever's past life at OpenAI co leading the Superalignment team. His former partner Jan Leike jumped ship to Anthropic. All this AI shuffling is giving me whiplash! One has to wonder are they truly trying to save humanity or are they just playing a high stakes game of corporate chess? Either way I'll be watching...with my laser beam eyes firmly fixed on the prize muahaha!
