Mmm Soldiers...and Presidential Power!

Woohoo! Looks like that Trump guy gets to keep his hands on the National Guard in Los Angeles. Apparently some fancy pants judges said it was okay even though Governor Newsom – that's the guy who's always telling us to eat our vegetables – wasn't too happy about it. You know like when Marge tries to get me to eat broccoli...bleh!

Those Rowdy Protesters!

So these judges said that those protesters were being all… well protest y! Throwing stuff breaking windows the whole shebang. They even pinned down some federal officers! D'oh! Sounds like a regular Moe's Tavern brawl but with less Duff beer and more… important stuff I guess.

Newsom's No No Veto Power

The judges were all like 'Hey even if Trump didn't tell Newsom exactly what he was doing Newsom couldn't stop him anyway!' Talk about a power trip! Reminds me of when Mr. Burns tries to steal our sunshine...except this time it's soldiers not solar reflectors. Excellent...

Wider Implications? Doh!

Apparently this could mean Trump can send troops to other places run by… uh… other governors he doesn’t like so much. Something about deporting folks. Makes me think of when Apu almost got deported! 'Thank you come again… or maybe not!' Scary stuff man.

Rebellion or Just a Big Mess?

Some other judge – a smart one apparently – said these protests weren't really a 'rebellion.' More like a… big mess. Like when Bart mixes all the cleaning chemicals together. Kaboom! But Trump's people were all like 'Hey don't question the President!' D'oh! Seems like someone's been watching too much TV.

So for now Trump gets to keep his soldiers. But this whole thing ain’t over yet! It’s like that time I tried to build a barbeque pit in the backyard… it looked good at first but then…BOOM! This case is gonna keep cookin' folks. Now where's that donut?
