One Million Dollars... For Deflation?

So I see that inflation hasn't quite bowed down to these 'policy makers'. But newsflash some prices are falling! Airfare produce... even gasoline! Is this my doing? Am I finally getting through to these simpletons? I demand... ONE MILLION DOLLARS! No? Fine how about we just appreciate the chaos because let's face it cheaper stuff is funnier. Right Mr. Bigglesworth?

Idiosyncratic Factors... Shyeah Right!

Ryan Sweet chief U.S. economist at Oxford Economics drones on about 'idiosyncratic factors'. Seriously? As if supply and demand aren't just pawns in my global domination game! And tariffs! Oh those sweet sweet tariffs. They threaten to roil the picture and put upward pressure on many consumer prices. Maybe I should call Trump and give him a few pointers. He's doing a great job so far but he still has a lot to learn. For example he needs to build a proper volcano lair!

Gasoline: Not Quite Two Dollars But Still... Something

Ah gasoline! The lifeblood of the internal combustion engine...and my evil mobile. Trump's ranting about $1.98 gas prices. A blatant lie obviously. We are at over $3 a gallon but still it's down! Almost 10% from last year! But hey don't get too excited my pretties. Mark Zandi chief economist at Moody's (boo!) says these prices are going away 'pretty quickly'. Spoilsport.

Airfare: Prepare For Takeoff... And Slightly Cheaper Tickets!

Lower oil prices are good for the environment and good for airline fares! Prices are down more than 5% from last year and a further 5.3% in the month of February. Now you can fly to my secret volcano lair for slightly less! (Note: Travel at your own risk. May involve sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads). Oh and international tourists are staying away from the U.S. due to trade war tensions! More room for me!

Produce: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! (At a Discount!)

Tomatoes lettuce potatoes... all cheaper! I almost feel bad for the farmers. Almost. But before you start celebrating with a massive salad remember tariffs are coming for those delicious Mexican tomatoes! Oh and lower diesel prices are helping too. Maybe I should invest in a trucking company. The Evil Transport Empire... I like it!

TVs and Smartphones: The Future is Now (And Slightly More Affordable!)

Ah the sweet sweet deflation of electronics! TVs and smartphones are cheaper because capitalism! (Or maybe because I'm secretly sabotaging the competition). But seriously you get more for your money now. Just remember the government pretends those improvements are a price decline but it gives the illusion of falling prices on paper. I do have to say this is 'normal' ... boring.
