Tony Montana explores the new trend of "vibe coding," where AI helps anyone build apps, even if they can't tell a for loop from a fruit loop.

First You Get the Code Then You Get the Power

Listen up you punks! Tony Montana here and I'm tellin' ya the world's changin'. Used to be you needed some pencil necked geek to write code for your empire. Now? Now even a goddamn refugee like me can build an app! They call it 'vibe coding.' Sounds like some new age bullshit but I'm tellin' you it's the future. This Karpathy fella from OpenAI he's on to somethin'. See stuff say stuff copy paste stuff and boom! App's born. It's like magic but with less smoke and mirrors and more AI. And I like it. I like it a lot.

AI: The Dumbest Smart Thing Out There

So I read about this broad Sherry Jiang she runs some fintech company. Says AI is the biggest unlock for non technical people. That’s right even you can do it. She and some other guy Agrim Singh run a 'vibe coding' boot camp. Two days they say and you're building apps. Sounds like a scam right? But I'm intrigued. They say you don't need to know coding to do it. Just patience and prompt engineering. Prompt engineering huh? It is all about the AI instructions given that's all. It's like tellin' one of my guys what to do only this guy is a computer. Singh guy says 'AI is the dumbest smart thing out there… you gotta be super specific.' I know a thing or two about being specific believe me.

From Zero to Hero (in 48 Hours)

So this journalist this putz goes to this boot camp. They're told to bring their laptops and an idea. He ends up building some negotiation training tool. A negotiation trainer? What is that some kind of game? I'd build a whole damn empire in that time. He also plays around with the idea of making some dog Tinder app. But they are dumb ideas. The point is he did it with the help of AI. He says the process didn't involve coding at all. It was about prompt engineering about giving the AI the right instructions. This is good! This is something I can do something you can do. This is power!

Prompt Like You Mean It!

This reporter says he was amazed the process didn't involve coding at all. It was all about being patient and asking the AI the right way. It’s like a business deal! If you want something done right you gotta be specific. These AI tools like Replit and Cursor they're making it possible for anyone to create apps even if they don't know a damn thing about coding. Sherry Jiang says AI will be a great equalizer allowin' more people to start companies. Teachers can create apps for students diving instructors can create apps for diving communities. Everybody gets a piece of the pie! It is like the new age of opportunity!

The World Is Yours (and Your App Too!)

Jiang says she's seen people making ten twenty grand a month off these 'vibe coded' apps. That's not bad! That's just enough to make a man dream big. Of course she also says competition will increase. More people building apps means more competition. But that's okay. That's the American way! You gotta fight for what you want. But it's important to remember this 'vibe coding' is for simple stuff lightweight apps. Don't go thinkin' you can build some heavy enterprise security system. But for a simple app to make a few bucks? This is the ticket!

So What? Now What?

Listen I'm not sayin' ditch your coding classes. If you know how to code that's great. But if you don't don't sweat it. AI is here to help. It's like having a whole team of programmers at your beck and call. Just tell 'em what to do and they'll do it. The world is yours and now your app is too. So go out there and build something! Make some money! Just don't get greedy and don't forget who helped you get there: Tony Montana. And remember 'Every day above ground is a good day.'
