Wubba Lubba Dub Dub! Flying Cars Are Here (Almost)!
Alright Morty listen up! China's about to make our sci fi dreams a reality – or at least their version of it. Ehang some company I probably won't bother investing in got the green light for 'civil human carrying pilotless aerial vehicles.' Translation Morty? Flying taxis! And get this they’re saying we’ll be zipping around in these things in the next three to five years. Three to five years! That's practically an eternity in Rick Time. But hey at least someone's doing something while the rest of the world is busy arguing about the proper way to butter toast.
First Stop: Tourist Traps! (Duh)
Of course the first thing they're gonna do is turn these things into glorified tourist traps. Guangzhou and Hefei are gonna be the guinea pigs offering rides by the end of June. Just imagine Morty hordes of tourists snapping selfies while whizzing around in oversized drones. Sounds like my kind of hellscape... I mean vacation. And they are planning to gradually explore air taxi services as their tourist operations progress. So prepare yourselves!
EH216 S: The Flying Vibrator (Probably Not)
Their golden goose the EH216 S is a fully electric pilotless two seater with 16 propellers. Sixteen Morty! That's like a flying blender... or maybe a really inefficient helicopter. Top speed is 130 kilometers per hour and you can only go 30 kilometers. In other words perfect for getting stuck in traffic... in the sky! Sounds like a blast! Also I'm pretty sure it looks like a giant vibrator.
China Flexes its Tech Muscles (Again)
Some fancy pants 'technology analyst' named Dan Ives is saying that China's pulling a 'shot across the bow,' whatever that means. Basically China's showing off their tech innovation and making the US look like a bunch of drooling morons. And hey they're already dominating electric vehicles and autonomous driving. So yeah they're probably right. This whole thing of flying taxis is 'one of the next frontiers for the auto and tech industry' so this is going to be interesting!
US Regulation? More Like US Retardation!
The US is lagging behind because of 'overregulation lobbying from competing industries or just plain politics.' You know the usual bureaucratic bullcrap. Meanwhile China's backing this whole 'low altitude economy' thing as a major policy goal. Gotta hand it to them Morty. They're actually planning for the future while we're still arguing about whether or not to put fluoride in the water.
Get Schwifty or Get Rekt!
The low altitude economy is projected to be worth a bazillion yuan in the next few years. And China's got a bunch of companies scrambling to get a piece of the pie including electric vehicle makers like GAC Geely and Xpeng. Even Xpeng's got a 'Land Carrier' – a van paired with a 2 man quadcopter. I wonder if I can weaponize it... And sure the Yanks and Europeans will try to catch up but China's already got a head start. So buckle up Morty. The future is here and it's probably gonna be bumpy.

This is so cool, but I am a bit nervous about the whole no pilot thing.
