Tariffs?! I Can't Even…
Okay dolls let's talk about something *serious*. Like *really* serious. Not 'which filter looks best on my selfie' serious but 'the economy is about to go full on ugly cry' serious. I'm talking about *tariffs*. Apparently President Trump's throwing tariffs around like they're like free samples at a KKW Beauty pop up. And TBH it's messing with *everything*. My closet your closet potentially everyone's closet. And like my bank account probably.
LVMH: My Louis My Vuitton My *Everything*!
So the news is saying that LVMH—you know the house of Louis Vuitton Dior Tiffany's and *basically everything I own*—is worried. Apparently they think these tariffs could make people stop buying like $10,000 handbags and $5,000 shoes. Like as if! But if *they're* worried then *I'm* worried. This whole thing with tariffs they are worried about pulling back on spending by 'aspirational clientele'. Like is that even a word? But seriously if this hits my bags collection I'll actually start crying.
Maersk Shell and VW: What Does It All *Mean*?!
Okay so Maersk Shell and Volkswagen are also apparently having a major moment. Maersk the shipping company is stressed because a trade war between the US and China would be a total buzzkill for shipping stuff. Shell the oil giant is dealing with the volatility and recession fears they are being so dramatic. And Volkswagen well their German cars might get slapped with crazy taxes. I already know I will have to find another brand for my next car I simply won't pay extra for it!
Lufthansa's Turbulence: My Private Jet Is *Shaking*!
And then there's Lufthansa. Apparently if tourists aren't visiting the US as often they might be in trouble. I just hope that doesn't affect my private jet services. Like I *need* to be able to get to Paris Fashion Week without any hiccups. Please Universe don't let tariffs mess with my vacation!
Ozempic Panic?! My Figure Is At *Risk*!
Okay this is where things get *really* personal. Novo Nordisk the company that makes Ozempic and Wegovy is freaking out because Trump might put tariffs on drugs imported into the U.S.. Like I cannot even *deal* with this. If I can't get my…you know…*medication* then how am I supposed to stay snatched?! Seriously this is a national emergency!
So Like What's the *Solution*?!
Look I'm no economist. I leave that kind of stuff to Kanye and he is busy doing other things. But I do know that these tariffs are stressing me *out*. Hopefully the EU and the UK can find a way to chill out with the U.S. before my entire lifestyle is affected. I can't even imagine a world where I can't buy a new Birkin bag whenever I feel like it. It's giving me anxiety! Let's just hope for the best. And maybe manifest some good vibes. Because at this point we need all the good vibes we can get! Peace out!
