A Witcher's Brew of Trouble
Right so a Witcher hears things. Whispers on the wind contracts gone sour and now this… Apparently former South Korean president Moon Jae in is in a heap of trouble. Bribery they're saying. It seems even politicians ain't safe from the muck and mire of human greed. As I've always said 'Evil is evil. Lesser greater middling… Makes no difference. The degree is arbitary. The definition's blurred.' And blurring it is with the alleged deal involving his son in law's gig at some Thai airline.
The Curious Case of the Thai Job
Now I've faced down a Leshen or two and I can tell you this whole situation stinks worse than a drowned dead body. The Jeonju District Prosecutors' Office is poking around saying Moon might have pulled some strings to get his son in law a cushy job at a Thai based corporation run by a bloke named Lee Sang jik. In return Lee got appointed as head of the SMEs and Startups Agency. So basically they are saying it was a deal. You scratch my back I scratch yours. Only problem is you don't want to get caught do you? Reminds me of some Nilfgaardian politics only with more kimchi.
Follow the Money or the Orens Crowns and Won
The prosecution claims Moon's son in law raked in a hefty sum as an executive director – about 5.95 million baht which translates to roughly $177,506 or 218 million won. They reckon this wasn't just some stroke of good luck but a straight up bribe to the then president. I reckon if I got paid that much to slay a Griffin I'd consider retiring to Toussaint and opening a vineyard. But alas a Witcher's work is never done and neither is the hunt for corruption it seems.
Silence is Golden… or Just Suspicious?
Moon Lee and their fancy pants lawyers are all keeping mum which let's be honest isn't helping their case. It's like when a Noonwraith appears – the silence is deafening and you know something nasty is about to happen. You know what they say: 'Sometimes silence is best. Not for others but for yourself.' I wonder what Lambert would have to say about this.
From Activist to Accused: A Witcher's Reflection
This Moon fellow was a lawyer and civil rights activist before becoming president. Figures doesn't it? The world's a funny place. One minute you're fighting for justice; the next you're accused of bending the rules for your own kin. 'People like to invent monsters and monstrosities. Then they seem less monstrous themselves…' I reckon that's what's happening here. Folks just trying to make sense of the chaos.
Political Pendulum Swings Again
And to add to the chaos Yoon Suk Yeol replaced Moon only to get booted out of office himself after a brief stint that involved trying to impose martial law. What a mess! It’s like watching two Golems smashing each other to bits. 'The world doesn't need a hero it needs a professional.' Well looks like they need a few Witchers down in South Korea to sort this out. Roach saddle up we might have a new contract.

So, anyone want to play Gwent? My treat!
RodeoDog
This is just politics as usual. Nothing to see here.

Time to fire up the grill and make some kielbasa to deal with this mess.
regie831
Sounds like someone's been playing too much Gwent with crooked card players.
CLeigh13
If only we had a Witcher to investigate these things!
adiet13
Corruption is everywhere, even in the most unexpected places.
CLeBlanc
Roach probably knows more about this than we do.

Another day, another scandal. When will politicians learn?

Reminds me of Foltest, always scheming.
