A Witcher's Eye on the Horizon
Medallion's hummin'. Feels like a shift in the winds and not just the kind that carries the scent of nekker. Seems the U.S. has given GE Aerospace the go ahead to start slingin' jet engines back to China's COMAC. Aye the same China that's been eyein' the skies with their own bird tryin' to outfly Airbus and Boeing. Reminds me of folk always wantin' what they can't have. Never satisfied.
The Dance of the Dollars and Dragons
This ain't just about engines mind you. I hear tell the U.S. is easing up on chip design software and... ethane? Gods it's like listenin' to mages argue over ingredients for some blasted potion. Point is the trade talks are movin' smoother than Dandelion when he's tryin' to sweet talk a tavern wench.
Silence of the Lambs... I Mean Companies
Asked GE 'bout this got nothin'. Commerce Department too. Seems like everyone's keepin' their traps shut tighter than a grave hag's jaws. All hush hush like they're dealin' with a cursed contract. But I know better contracts are cursed regardless.
Rare Earths and the Temper of Trump
Remember when Trump got his britches in a twist over China restrictin' rare earths? Messed up supply chains somethin' fierce. Automakers aerospace folks even those tinkerers makin' things go boom boom for the military were screamin' louder than a banshee. But now? Seems like someone's decided to sheath their silver sword.
Engines of Change
These GE licenses? They’re for LEAP 1C engines for COMAC’s C919 – a single aisle bird – and GE's CF34 engine for COMAC's C909 regional jet. Fancy names for things that go vroom in the sky. Funny thing is this LEAP 1 C is a love child between GE Aerospace and some French outfit called Safran. Just like humans planes and engines are mutts.
Honeywell's Helping Hand and More
Heard whispers that Honeywell Aerospace is handin' over bits and bobs for the C919 too but they're not chattin' and Collins Aerospace is playing coy as well. Whole thing's got more secrets than a sorceress's boudoir. But don't you worry I'll sniff it out.
