Another One? Xiaomi Enters the SUV Arena
Alright alright alright what do we have here? Another company trying to dethrone the king Tesla in the electric vehicle market. This time it's Xiaomi you know the phone company. Now they're making cars... a f**king SUV? What is this Grand Theft Auto? But hey competition is good right? Maybe. Or maybe it's just more corporate greed I don't know man. I'm just a streamer with a bad hairline.
472 Miles? Yeah Right...
So Xiaomi claims their new YU7 SUV can go 760 kilometers which is like 472 miles on a single charge. Okay that's cute. Tesla says their Model Y does 719 km. But let's be real these are just numbers on paper. Anyone who's ever bought a car knows that the advertised MPG is complete and utter bullshit. You're never gonna get that in real world driving. So I'm calling it now: this 760 km claim? Bald fraud. Complete bald fraud. Just like when Blizzard says they're going to fix the servers.
Citi Analyst Hypes It Up Shocker!
Of course we have a Citi analyst saying this YU7 is gonna "significantly erode" Tesla's market share. Analysts man. They're always so optimistic. It's like they're paid to be. I bet this Jeff Chung guy has never even changed his own oil. Probably drives a Prius and thinks he's saving the planet. Anyway he expects them to sell 30,000 units a month. Maybe they will maybe they won't. I wouldn't bet my WoW gold on it though.
Price Point: Direct Shot at Tesla's Wallet
They're aiming to price this YU7 thing between 250,000 and 320,000 yuan. That's like $34,000 to $44,000 freedom dollars. That puts it right in line with the Model Y. Smart move I guess. But let's be real people buy Teslas for the brand. It's like buying Apple products. You're paying for the name. Can Xiaomi overcome that? We'll see. I'm still waiting for a car that can run Crysis at max settings.
Xiaomi's Past: A Cautionary Tale?
Last year Xiaomi released the SU7 sedan which was supposed to be cheaper than the Model 3. Then Tesla dropped their price and it was a whole thing. And then there was that crash... and now China's telling automakers to chill with the driver assist hype. So yeah Xiaomi's got some baggage. Are they gonna learn from their mistakes? Or are they gonna keep making the same dumbass decisions? I'm betting on the latter honestly.
The Verdict: Wait and See Gamers
Look I'm not saying Xiaomi can't make a good car. Maybe this YU7 will be amazing. Maybe it'll revolutionize the electric vehicle market. But I'm also not holding my breath. There's too much hype too much corporate bs and too many promises that are never kept. So my advice? Wait and see. Don't preorder anything. And for god's sake don't believe the analysts. Just keep your eyes open and your wallet closed. And remember at the end of the day it's all about the loot.

760km range? That's like 3 trips to McDonalds and back!

I'd rather walk than drive anything that's not a pickup truck.
