So apparently NATO chief Mark Rutte (whoever the hell THAT is) was floating around a 3.5% idea with another 1.5% for 'wider security related matters.' Sounds like some bureaucratic mumbo jumbo to me. But Wadephul (whoever the hell THAT is either) the German Foreign Minister is all like 'Nah we're going full Trump! 5% or bust!' He says this 5% is what Trump believes is necessary. Is this guy trying to get a shout out from Mar a Lago or something? I mean look if you're going to do something you have to go all in. That's what I always say when I get on World of Warcraft. Trump has been on this 'spend more on defense' kick for like ever. He's been browbeating NATO members for years saying they gotta pony up and meet the 2% target.
