OMG Another Crisis!
Okay dolls so I'm trying to stay in my lane focusing on SKIMS and like making sure my selfies are fire. But then I hear about this Senator Ron Johnson being all 'the House bill is a disaster!' And I'm like is this gonna affect my Birkin collection? Because if it does honey we have a problem. He's saying it's gonna increase the deficit which sounds serious even to me and I once thought 'deficit' was a cute designer label.
Big Beautiful Bill...Or Big Beautiful Mess?
Apparently Ronny J (can I call him that?) thinks he's got enough backup to like totally sabotage this 'big beautiful bill.' I'm picturing him as the Regina George of the Senate except instead of a Burn Book he's got a budget proposal. Speaker Johnson (no relation obvi) is begging the Senate not to meddle. It's like when North tries to 'help' me with my makeup – adorable but also potentially disastrous. 'Kim there's people that are dying' so is this bill worth it?
Fiscal Hawks vs. Fashion Hawks
So these 'fiscal hawks' (do they wear like special glasses?) are worried about the spending in the bill. Ron is saying the goal should be to *reduce* the deficit not make it bigger. He wants to go back to 'pre pandemic' spending. I'm like pre pandemic was a dark time. I hadn't even launched SKIMS shapewear yet! It's like get with the times people!
Rand Paul: Wimpy and Anemic? Rude!
Then there's this other senator Rand Paul who calls the spending cuts 'wimpy and anemic.' Like okay Rand no need to body shame the budget. Even if the cuts are like not as fierce as they could be he'd still support the bill...unless it explodes the debt. Apparently the 'math doesn't add up.' Sounds like someone needs a crash course in basic accounting from Kris Jenner.
The CBO Said What Now?
Okay so get this: some fancy pants analysis from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says the bill could increase the deficit by like $3.8 TRILLION over the next ten years. Trillion! That's more than my entire net worth…combined with Kylie’s! I'm starting to think maybe Ronny J has a point. But like can't we just I don't know manifest a solution?
Is This My 'Ugly Cry' Moment?
So what does this all mean? Honestly I don't know. Politics are confusing even for a genius like me. All I know is if this bill messes with my ability to buy diamonds and vacation in exotic locations I'm going to have a full blown 'ugly cry' moment. And nobody wants to see that. Except maybe the paparazzi. 'You do such amazing things it is like you are allergic to doing bad things.' Let's hope the Senate can figure this out. Now if you'll excuse me I have a selfie to edit.

Pre-pandemic spending? As if! We've evolved.
