DEGENERATE ERA: The End is Nigh?

Alright alright alright chat. Asmongold here and we gotta talk about this absolute dumpster fire of a situation. Trump in his infinite wisdom—and I'm using that term loosely believe me—has decided to take a big ol' axe to the funding of NPR and PBS. Like what in the actual F dude? Are we going full 'Idiocracy' here? Is this the content he provides? It is what it is am I right?

Lawsuits and Copium: Can They Win?

So the CEOs of NPR and PBS Katherine Maher and Paula Kerger are saying they're looking into options including lawsuits. 'We're looking at whatever options are available to us,' Maher said. Translation: 'We're lawyering up boys!' Kerger added they're 'pushing back very hard.' Good. About damn time someone stood up and said 'NO I WILL NOT DO AS I'M TOLD!' But let's be real chat lawsuits are like raids in WoW. You can prep all you want but sometimes RNG just screws you over. But you have to give it your best shot. And never give up embrace the suck am I right?

Local News Gets the Boot: News Deserts Incoming!

Here's the real kicker. Maher is saying these cuts are gonna hit local stations the hardest. Apparently NPR has 246 member organizations with newsrooms in every state. And these cuts could be devastating especially with the rise of 'news deserts.' Twenty percent of Americans don't have access to another local source of news. That's insane! It's like trying to find a good Mythic+ group in LFG – impossible! This is what I'm talking about The Ruin has come to our doorstep!

Sesame Street Under Siege: Save the Puppets!

Kerger is saying PBS gets 15% of its funding from the feds but some smaller stations get up to half their budget from public funds. And this isn't just about news chat. This executive order could impact PBS's funding from the Department of Education which supports educational children's programming like 'Sesame Street' and 'Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.' Are you telling me Elmo might get evicted? Mr. Rogers might have to sell his sweaters? This is a travesty! I'm not even a huge fan of kids but even I know this is messed up.

Pre K Problems: The Future is in Jeopardy!

Kerger also points out that half the kids in this country aren't enrolled in formal pre K. So public television is crucial for early childhood education. If this funding goes away new programming will 'skid to a halt.' Skid to a halt?! That sounds like my last WoW stream after a terrible loot drop. This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged dude!

The Ballad of McConnell's Wisdom

This funding cut is a catastrophe for any and all types of education. Trump says he is trying to save money yet is spending our money like he's playing Monopoly with real funds. McConnell's wisdom echoes in my mind; let's hope for the best.
