Alright alright alright settle down chat! Asmongold here and we gotta talk about this dumpster fire of an economy. So consumer spending? Yeah it's tanking faster than my hairline. Retail sales DROPPED 0.9% in May. 0.9%! That's worse than expected folks. Even worse than my luck trying to get that damn Invincible mount. April wasn't great either with a 0.1% drop. This ain't lookin' good. We're talking 'Doom and Gloom' levels of bad chat.

Gas Prices Tariffs and The Doom Cycle

They're blaming gas prices and tariffs and honestly I can't say I'm surprised. Everyone's feeling the pinch especially with these garbage gas prices! It's like do I wanna drive to work or just stay home and watch cat videos all day? The tariffs ain't helping either. Trump's 'liberation day' tariff announcement back in April? More like 'economic constipation' day am I right? People bought stuff in March to beat the tariffs and now they're paying the price. Classic.

Who's Screwed? Everyone! (Almost)

Building materials down 2.7% gas stations down 2% cars down 3.5%... even bars and restaurants took a hit! People are cutting back on EVERYTHING! Unless you're selling miscellaneous stuff online or furniture...then you're doing OK I guess. Congrats to the online retailers and furniture stores. You're the only ones thriving in this economic apocalypse. Maybe I should invest in a Lazy Boy dealership...

They're looking for the absolute cheapest option and they're not gonna spend money unless they HAVE to. It's like trying to get a good transmog on a budget – it's possible but it ain't easy.

GDP Rollercoaster: Up Down and All Around

GDP declined 0.2% in the first quarter but they're saying it'll rebound. Apparently the Atlanta Federal Reserve is saying 3.8% growth for the second quarter. These people are huffin' copium! They keep changing their minds every five minutes. It's all just numbers being thrown around like a toddler flinging his toys. I ain't buying it. Prepare for doom chat. Prepare for DOOM!
