They just dropped their Q1 numbers and let me tell you it's like watching a mountain of coke explode! Revenue? Through the roof! Operating profit? Fuggedaboutit! We talkin' 17.64 trillion won in revenue beating estimates like Sosa beats his wife. And 7.44 trillion won in operating profit? That's more than I made in my whole damn life... almost.

The secret? Artificial Intelligence baby! It's the new white powder except legal... for now. SK Hynix is riding that AI wave like I used to ride... well let's just say I was good at riding things. They're selling these high bandwidth memory thingamajigs (HBM) that all the big tech companies want especially that Nvidia run by a geek with a leather jacket I tell you what! Compared to last year these guys are printing money! Revenue shot up by 42% and operating profit jumped a crazy 158%! That's more than double! It's like turning a dime into a dollar except with more zeros. And a lot of semiconductors.

Okay okay so it ain't all sunshine and blow. Quarter on quarter things cooled off a bit. Revenue dipped 11% and operating profit fell 8%. They're blaming it on "macroeconomic uncertainties" and tariff policies. Like I give a rat's ass about tariffs! All I know is they better keep those numbers up or I'll send Sosa to have a little chat with their CEO. You wanna go to war? We take you to war!

HBM: The Golden Goose!

SK Hynix is the top dog in the HBM market holding a whopping 70% share! That's more than I ever had of the Miami coke market! Because of this they're bossing Samsung in the overall DRAM market. The report I have here says that they have 36% global market share compared to Samsung's 34%. They're the kings of the hill baby! They're sittin' pretty and callin' the shots!

So what's the bottom line? SK Hynix is killing it right now thanks to AI and HBM. But they gotta watch their backs. There are macroeconomic issues which is basically the government stickin' its nose where it doesn't belong and that ain't no good. But for now they're on top of the world.
