Wait What's Going On?!

Okay dolls so I'm catching up on all the tea and apparently the U.S. Education Department is NOT happy with Columbia University. Like at all. They're saying Columbia failed to meet accreditation standards because they allegedly let harassment against Jewish students slide after the October 7th attack. Can you even imagine? It's like so not chic to tolerate hate. Seriously *'I can’t stand people who are not decisive.'*

Linda McMahon? Is That You?

Education Secretary Linda McMahon (totally sounds like a future KKW Beauty collab name btw!) is coming in HOT. She says Columbia leadership acted with "deliberate indifference" to the harassment. Deliberate indifference?! That's like the opposite of being a supportive ally. She's calling it immoral *and* unlawful which is a major problem for Columbia's access to federal student aid. No Pell Grants? That's like saying you can't contour – totally unacceptable!

Accreditation? Is That Like a Grade?

So the Middle States Commission on Higher Education is the accrediting institution for Columbia and they've been notified about the alleged violation. Basically if Columbia doesn't get its act together the accreditor has to take action. It's kind of like when I had to fire people on *The Apprentice*... brutal but necessary. *'I'll cry at the end of the day. Not with fresh makeup.'*

Title VI? Sounds Like a New KKW Fragrance

The Department's Office of Civil Rights started investigating Columbia in February for potential discrimination. They are saying Columbia may have violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act which basically says you can't discriminate based on race color or national origin if you're getting federal funding. This is why it's important to pay attention to the rules so you don't violate them.

Columbia's Side of the Story (Or Lack Thereof)

Apparently CNBC reached out to Columbia for comment but crickets. Silence is never the answer people! You gotta own your mistakes and learn from them. It's all about growth even when it's like super awkward. Like hello?! *'I’m not buying her a diamond ring. I have things that I like to buy.'*

Stay Tuned Besties!

This is breaking news so you KNOW I'll be following this story. It's important to stand up against hate and make sure everyone feels safe and respected whether you're in Calabasas or on a college campus. Peace out and remember stay fabulous... and educated! *'I’m doing me.'*
