All because these Chinese retailers like Temu and Shein might be cutting back on their ads. What is this amateur hour? These fancy analyst fellas at MoffettNathanson they’re saying China is HUGE for Meta like 11% of their whole enchilada. And these Temu and Shein guys they’re the ones throwing the parties paying for the ads. But now with Trump's tariffs they might be going dry. These analysts are pointing fingers! They're saying Meta's China revenue was $18.35 billion in 2024! If those online retailers cut back on their ad campaigns this year the social networking giant's 2025 ad sales could be impacted by $7 billion. A real bloodbath is coming for them I can smell it.

Everybody Betrays Me! I'm Tired of This Country!

Meta ain't even talking see? No comment! That's what they always say when they're shitting their pants. But the signs are there see? This CNBC report they're saying Temu's already pulling back on their U.S. ads and their app is dropping down the rankings. It's like when Manny got greedy and started skimming off the top. You think you're untouchable then BAM! The world comes crashing down on you. And the analysts? Oh they know what's up: "China's importance to Meta's business cannot be overstated," the analysts wrote in the note. "While Meta does not provide a country level breakdown of revenue within Europe we logically can presume that China is Meta's second largest revenue source after the United States — a remarkable position for a country where Meta has no users or active platforms."

The World Is Yours...Unless There's a Recession

Now if things get REALLY bad if this recession thing happens they’re talking TWENTY THREE BILLION DOLLARS! Twenty three billion! That's enough to buy Miami... twice! These analysts with their big words they're saying a recession could wipe out 25% of Meta's earnings. That's a bigger hit than when Omar started talking to the cops. "In a scenario where a recession is triggered or exacerbated by escalating trade tensions Meta would face a dual headwind: cyclical advertising weakness and a targeted decline in Chinese ad spend."

Who Do I Trust?

These MoffettNathanson guys they're still telling people to BUY Meta stock! But they cut their target price see? Like they’re saying it’s still good but not *that* good. It's like when you tell your wife she looks beautiful but you're thinking about someone else! They’re playing both sides like a bunch of double crossing snakes. Meta reports its first quarter earnings next Wednesday. Like it matters at this point what can they change?
