A look at how potential changes to the SALT deduction could disproportionately favor high-income individuals like yours truly.

Bah! Government and Their Taxes!

Oh the infernal machinations of Washington! As if my fortune weren't already plagued by meddling regulators and bleeding heart liberals now they're fiddling with the SALT deduction. This Tax Cuts and Jobs Act or TCJA as they call it with its pesky $10,000 limit...it's simply barbaric! Sunsetting after 2025? Preposterous! It's an outrage I tell you. An outrage! I can't even deduct all my property taxes from my various mansions and factories. This is why I’m always saying 'release the hounds!' to these politicians when they try to tax me!

Trump to the Rescue? Or Just Another Political Ploy?

That blithering buffoon Trump actually reversed his position? He promised to "get SALT back"? Excellent! Perhaps there's hope for this country yet assuming he can remember what he promised or even where he left his golf clubs. Still these politicians! All talk and no action. Empty suits the lot of them. I should know I’ve bought and sold enough of them over the years. Smithers remind me to add 'political puppet acquisition' to next quarter's budget.

Itemize Itemize Itemize! Or Just Be Standard?

This nonsense about 'standard deductions' versus 'itemized deductions'...it's all designed to confuse the simpletons. Of course 90% of these dullards take the standard deduction. They wouldn't know a tax shelter if it bit them on their ample behinds. But for those of us with the wherewithal to itemize? Why the savings are simply...scrumtrulescent. Although the standard deduction for single filers is 15,000 big deal I probably spend that much on cigars in a month.

The Rich Get Richer? As They Should!

So raising the SALT limit primarily benefits 'higher earners'? Well duh! It's about time someone realized that we the job creators the innovators the...wealth accumulators deserve a break. After all who else is going to fund the next generation of genetically engineered attack dogs? Or buy priceless artifacts to hoard in our secret lairs? Exactly! This is all music to my ears I'm beginning to feel younger already!

Marriage Penalty? Preposterous!

Increasing the cap for married couples? A paltry $20,000? Smithers spends more than that on my anti aging creams. These 'marriage penalties' are just another excuse to raid the coffers of the productive members of society. Honestly sometimes I think the government wants us all to live like those dreadful Simpsons! Unthinkable.

California New York and... Illinois? Oh My!

California New York Illinois...these socialist havens are the epicenters of tax discontent? Well of course. They bleed their citizens dry with ridiculous regulations and exorbitant taxes. Perhaps it's time I purchased a few more politicians in those states. A little 'persuasion' can go a long way especially when it comes to securing my bottom line. As I always say 'money is the lifeblood of this nation!'

Genetically engineered attack dogs? I need to invest in that.
