Back to Reality (TV… I Mean Work!)
Okay dolls so like I saw this article and I was *shook*. Apparently all these young people are actually going back to the office? Like *every day*? Can you even imagine? I thought everyone wanted to work in their PJs sipping matcha lattes and posting thirst traps on Insta all day. But plot twist! 52% are hitting the office grind and honestly good for them. Get that bag honey! As I always say 'Get your f***ing ass up and work!' even if that means commuting. PS someone tell North to get off her phone and start interning already!
Loyalty? Is That a New Lip Kit Shade?
Okay so here's the tea. While these young'uns are clocking in they ain't exactly ride or die for these companies. Only 7% are planning on sticking around 'for the long haul.' I mean relatable. I change my hair color more often than some people change jobs. But listen up CEOs: these guys want career growth. Give them opportunities and maybe just maybe they'll stick around. If not bye Felicia! As I always say 'You can't have people just standing around.' We need people moving and doing things!'
Work Life Balance? It's Called 'Self Care,' Sweetie
These young workers are willing to go the extra mile but not without a side eye. Over half of them said they'd do extra work 'but grudgingly' and that they 'value work life balance.' Duh! It's called self care people. Facials Pilates and maybe a quick trip to Turks and Caicos are essential for peak performance. If you're not prioritizing your well being you're not doing it right. That's on period!
Gimme Gimme Gimme (Feedback That Is)
Okay this part is actually kinda cute. These young employees want regular feedback from their supervisors. Like DAILY feedback? I need that level of validation every time I post a selfie tbh. But most of them want it weekly or monthly and they want it *face to face*. So old school! But hey if it helps them slay I'm all for it. Because at the end of the day you should never be comfortable.
Tesla's Reputation? More Like a 'Full Stop'
The article also mentioned that some companies are getting a bad rep and Tesla Meta and Amazon are at the top of the list. Whoa honey! Even worse than Big Oil! Maybe Elon needs to focus less on Twitter and more on like fixing the autopilot situation. Just sayin'. Sometimes you need to stop and reflect on what you have done what you need to do and how you are doing. Then and only then can you succeed.
DEI? They're Here for It (But Hold the Politics)
These young workers are all about DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusion) which is amazing! They're not here for companies retreating on their commitments. But also they're not trying to turn the workplace into a political debate club. Keep it classy people! Let's keep business professional dolls. But if the work is amazing then I would love to be a part of it.
