Okay dolls so like everyone's buzzing about Warren Buffett stepping down. I know right? End of an era. But honestly the bigger news is who's taking over. Enter Greg Abel. He’s been tapped as the next CEO of Berkshire Hathaway which is kinda a big deal. Like bigger than my contour kit restock. And you know how seriously I take my makeup! Buffett basically said 'I'm out,' (eventually like in 2026) leaving Greg to handle all the things. It’s like passing your Birkin collection to your little sister... if your sister was like super qualified. Not that my sisters aren't qualified... they're amazing! Kourtney is Poosh ing Khloe is a Mom and CEO and Kendall is a Supermodel. Kris Jenner would be so proud!

Who IS This Greg Guy?

So who is this Greg Abel? Well apparently he's been with Berkshire for over two decades and knows his stuff. He used to oversee their energy holdings which let’s be real is probably more exciting than it sounds. He grew up in Canada. And he played hockey. Like really played hockey. Okay so maybe he has more in common with Kanye than me but hey opposites attract right? Though thankfully Greg is a bit more...stable. But I digress. I hope he loves dogs and kids like I do.

He's got an accounting degree (nerd alert! JK I love a smart guy!) and worked his way up. Started with delivering flyers and now he's running a $1.1 trillion empire? Talk about a glow up! It's like going from selling clothes on eBay to owning SKIMS. Actually that’s my life! So maybe we have more in common than I thought. Work hard and you can make your dreams come true!

Show Me The Money! Wait He's Already Got It.

Let’s talk about the moolah! He had a base salary of $21 million in 2024 and has received bonuses. He even sold his 1% stake in BHE for $870 million! Okay so maybe he doesn't need my SKIMS to fund his lifestyle. Point is this guy is already seriously loaded. Buffett even said he wanted someone who wasn’t just in it for the money. Checks out. He is already swimming in it!

Warren's Seal of Approval? That's Like EVERYTHING!

The real tea? Buffett trusts him. Like really trusts him. He said Greg understands businesses extremely well and that he'd leave all the important money decisions to him. That's a pretty big deal! It's like trusting someone to choose your next Met Gala outfit. The pressure! He said that Greg brings him great ideas and is truly innovative. Now that is a flex.

Keeping Up With Berkshire Hathaway: The Next Chapter

So there you have it my loves. Greg Abel is the new head honcho. He says he wants to maintain the investment philosophy and reputation. So sounds like things aren't going to change too much but you know how it is with new management. Anything could happen! Either way I'll be watching! Maybe I'll even invest in Berkshire Hathaway... if they promise to send me some of those limited edition shareholder gifts. LOL! But in all seriousness you know that you have to work hard and have ambition talent and drive to achieve the things that you want in life.
