He's yapping about cutting subsidies for Musk's empire of electric cars and space rockets. Says Elon's been living large on Uncle Sam's dime and maybe it's time to pull the plug. "Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good hard look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!," Trump blabbered on Truth Social. He said that Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history by far and without subsidies Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa.

And it ain't just Tesla. Apparently Musk's other toys – SpaceX and Starlink – are sucking on the government teat too. Heavily reliant on government policy they say.
