Okay dolls so like I was scrolling through my news feed (yes even I read the news sometimes LOL!) and I saw all this drama about the U.K. and Trump's new tariffs. Apparently Trump's decided to slap a 10% levy on goods coming from the U.K. to the U.S. Like what even IS a levy?! Is it like a new type of designer handbag? JK! But seriously this is kinda a big deal and I had to get to the bottom of it. You know I love my British brands! And how is it going to impact my brands? Is it going to impact SKIMS??

Keir Starmer Says 'Keep Calm and Carry On'!

So the U.K.'s Prime Minister Keir Starmer is trying to keep his cool. He's all like 'Okay Trump has a right to do his thing but we're gonna do our thing too!' He wants everyone to just chill and says they're moving to the 'next phase of their plan.' Sounds mysterious right? Like something out of a spy movie. But he also said they're prepared for the economic impact. I hope that means my favorite U.K. fashion houses are prepared too! I need my new Balmain dress!!

Is the U.K. Gonna Get Burned?

The U.K.'s Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds is a little more worried. He thinks Trump's tariffs could mess up the whole global economy and that's a 'threat' to the U.K. He says the U.K. is lucky compared to places like the EU (they're getting hit with a 20% tariff!) but even a little turmoil can hurt. It's like when I try a new detox tea – even if it's supposed to be good for me there's always a little bit of drama LOL! Will my KKW Beauty products in the UK still be affordable?!

Negotiations Negotiations Negotiations!

Apparently the U.K. is still trying to work out a deal with the Trump administration. They're hoping to get those tariffs reversed. Reynolds didn't rule out fighting back with their own measures if they have to. I mean you gotta stand up for yourself right? As I always say 'I'm not always in the mood for drama but I'm always in the mood for revenge.' Just kidding...mostly! Is the U.K. trying to be iconic?!

Trade Deficits and Bugbears Oh My!

So Trump's been complaining about America's trade deficits with countries like Canada China and Mexico. The U.K. is already paying a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum plus another 25% on cars that aren't made in the U.S. I mean can't everyone just get along? World peace is always a better option than a trade war. Unless of course it's a bidding war for a rare Birkin bag...then all bets are off!

Praying for a Deal!

Starmer says they're working hard on a deal with the U.S. but it might take time. He doesn't want tariffs but he has to act in the U.K.'s best interest. Reynolds thinks the U.K. is in the 'best possible position' to get those duties reversed. Let's hope so! I'm manifesting good vibes and a fabulous trade agreement for everyone. After all as I always say 'Get your f***ing ass up and work'...on resolving this trade situation! And let's be honest nobody wants to see a trade war. Not even North!
