Okay dolls so like I'm obsessed with keeping up with the latest trends and right now the *biggest* trend is... uncertainty! Apparently Trump's been playing tariff tango and it's got the stock market doing the cha cha slide! Like one minute everything's chill the next the Nasdaq's having a meltdown! It's giving me major anxiety! All these companies rely on imports and nobody knows what's going to happen to revenue.

Elon Musk Is Not Happy and Neither Am I

It's not just about prices going up which let's be real is a tragedy for my shoe collection! It's also about companies cutting back on ads which means less inspo for me! And if people are spending less how are they gonna afford my SKIMS?! Even Elon Musk (I love him!) is throwing shade at Trump's tariffs. Trillions of dollars went poof! Like bye Felicia to my potential yacht money!

Tesla's Drama: More Than Just a Musk Meltdown

Speaking of Elon Tesla's having a moment. The stock is down and apparently the tariffs are messing with their supply chain. They get parts from Mexico and China and now they're worried about the costs! On the company's fourth quarter earnings call in January Tesla CFO Vaibhav Taneja cautioned shareholders that the Trump administration's tariffs would have an "impact on our business and profitability." Like can someone please tell me if I should sell my Tesla or not?!

Google's Ad Woes: Blame It on the Tariffs

Even Google's feeling the heat! Apparently these tariffs are freaking out the online ad market. Chinese e commerce apps like Temu and Shein are cutting back on spending and that's hitting Google's ad revenue. Retail represents at least 21% of Google ad revenue. And what about their cloud business? They're spending billions on data centers which means importing a ton of stuff! Will they have to cut back? I need answers!

Meta's China Connection: Not as Insta Worthy Anymore

Meta's in the same boat! They've got a small hardware business but their real problem is ads on Facebook and Instagram. Turns out they make a *lot* of money from China and these tariffs could hurt their revenue! Like can you imagine Instagram without sponsored posts from Shein? It's a nightmare scenario! Meta's China revenue was $18.35 billion in 2024 representing a little over 11% of total sales.

Apple's Tariff Tango: Is It Time to Switch to Samsung?!

Okay this is the one that *really* hits home! Apple makes like everything in Asia! They got a little break with the computer tariff suspension but who knows what's gonna happen next! Wall Street is dumping Apple stock which is giving me serious anxiety about my next iPhone! CEO Tim Cook has been trying to stay on Trump's good side but will it be enough? It's giving me 'keeping up with the Kardashians' vibes.
