OMG Nintendo's Got a New Console!
Okay dolls so like Nintendo's dropping the Switch 2 in June and it's kind of a big deal. They're predicting 15 million units sold by March 2026. I mean that's a lot of consoles even for people who like *actually* play video games. Me? I'm more of a Candy Crush kinda girl. But hey anything to distract from North's teenage angst right?
Numbers Don't Lie But They Can Be Like Confusing
So the article says Nintendo's revenue took a dip like when I accidentally spill my green juice on my Birkin (tragic!). But their profit was actually *better* than expected? It's like contouring – sometimes you gotta go down before you can go up you know? The real question is will the Switch 2 bring in enough to pay for all my SKIMS photoshoots? Priorities people!
Tariff Drama: Is This My Next Business Venture?
Okay this is where it gets messy. Apparently tariffs – which are like taxes on imported stuff – might make the Switch 2 more expensive. They are manufactured in Vietnam which could face duties of 46%. I cannot BELIEVE it. And like if things get too pricey even gamers might not buy it. I mean a girl's gotta afford her glam squad am I right? This is basically my cue to start a 'Made in the USA' console company isn't it? Watch out Elon!
Switch 2: A New Era?
The Switch 2 will start at $449.99 in the U.S. and has improved features compared with its predecessor as well as the 15 million unit sales forecast for the fiscal year ended March 2026 Nintendo said it expects to sell 45 million units of software during that same time period. Nintendo first launched the original Switch in 2017 and it has become the Japanese gaming giant's second best selling console ever with over 150 million units sold. It is going to be a new ear folks and I hope you are all ready for it I know I am!!!
Mario and Zelda: Still Rocking It
Nintendo's leaning on Mario and Zelda to sell the Switch 2. Honestly who isn't obsessed with Mario? He's like the original influencer. Plus everyone loves a good comeback story (I'm living proof duh!). If Mario can save the princess maybe he can save Nintendo's sales too. Maybe I should get Mario on SKIMS... genius!
The Stock Market is My Runway!
Okay so investors are loving Nintendo right now which is always a good sign. Their stocks are up! It's like when my selfies get a million likes in five minutes – pure validation. Nintendo's been around forever and they're still killing it which proves that staying relevant is the ultimate goal. Now if you'll excuse me I have a fitting for the Met Gala. Gotta stay on top dolls! "You have to get up and work for it. I think people are sometimes confused when they see everything we have but they don't see the hard work that we put in to get to where we are."
