Starbucks Gets a KIMOJI Makeover: More Seats, More Selfies, More Starbucks!

OMG Starbucks is Back!

Okay dolls lemme tell you something super important. Starbucks is having a major moment – like bigger than contouring with KKW Beauty! CEO Brian Niccol is all about bringing it 'back to Starbucks,' and honey that's music to my ears. Remember when I said 'I'm not buying any of it' about something totally unrelated? Well I'm SO buying this! More seats more chill vibes more places for me to sip my iced latte and take selfies! It's what the people (and me) want!

Vegas Baby! And Coffee!

So Starbucks had this HUGE Leadership Experience thing in Vegas with like a million store leaders (okay maybe 14,000 but still!). They even launched a new coffee called the 1971 Roast! I was not there unfortunately but the wifi password was "backtostarbucks!" which is SO cute. It’s like when North makes me a bracelet and spells my name wrong but it's the thought that counts right?

From Fired to Hired… Inside Starbucks

Niccol’s got this whole plan to make Starbucks amazing again. Retooling marketing improving staffing fixing the app… it's like a full on glam squad makeover for the coffee world. They even laid off some corporate folks to be more efficient which I understand because you gotta streamline the business but it's a shame that those people have been 'cancelled' from Starbucks!

Employee Empowerment: You Get a Promotion! And You Get a Promotion!

Okay but the BEST part is they’re giving store managers more control and promoting from within! Like 90% of retail leadership roles will be internal promotions. That's like turning your assistant into your CEO! Okay maybe not but it's still a big deal. Happy employees mean happy customers and happy customers mean… well more coffee selfies!

Seating Drama: The Butt Stops Here!

Apparently Starbucks took out like a bajillion seats from their cafes. Seriously? Who wants to stand while they sip their Frappuccino? But don't worry dolls they're putting them BACK! It’s like when I realized taking away the original Coke was a mistake its the same mistake! Niccol even said his local Starbucks manager asked him to keep the seats! See? Everyone wants a comfy place to sit. Now if only I could get them to install selfie stations in every store… that's my dream!

Howard Schultz: Still the OG Coffee King

And can we talk about Howard Schultz for a minute? He's like the coffee OG. He showed up at the Leadership Experience and everyone went wild! He’s basically co signing Niccol’s whole “back to Starbucks” plan. 'Be true to the coffee be true to your partners'. I just know they're gonna make Starbucks the hottest spot again. Watch out world – we're about to get caffeinated!
