The Game's Afoot (Again)
Right so Trump's decided this U.S. Steel business ain't settled. Seems he's ordered another look at Nippon Steel of Japan trying to swallow it whole. Calls it 'national security,' same as Biden. Makes you wonder if there's more to this than meets the eye. Like a razor hidden in a flat cap eh?
Steel Prices Soar: A King's Ransom?
The moment this news breaks U.S. Steel shares jump 11%. Eleven percent! That's enough to buy a bloody racehorse nearly. All this back and forth it's like watching a couple of bare knuckle boxers go at it isn't it? One minute they're down the next they're swinging for the fences. Makes a man thirsty.
45 Days to Mitigate? More Like 45 Days to Plot.
Trump's given this Committee on Foreign Investment 45 days to figure out if Nippon's got a plan to stop any 'national security risks.' Forty five days? That's enough time to dig a tunnel under the Bank of England. They reckon U.S. Steel and Nippon have some ideas. Probably involves more steel wouldn't you think? Maybe a bloody robot.
Biden's Block: A Power Play or Genuine Concern?
Biden blocked this deal back in January talking about supply chains and whatnot. 'Foreign control' is the problem apparently. Seems everyone's got a reason to stop everyone else. Makes you think who's really pulling the strings here? And who's lining their pockets? Always follow the money eh?
A Soft Spot for the Japanese?
Trump apparently softened on this deal when he met some Prime Minister bloke from Japan. Claimed Nippon would invest heavily in U.S. Steel not just buy it. Politics eh? A game of chess where everyone's a pawn and the board's made of dynamite. One wrong move...
Join the Party at the Stock Exchange? No Fighting Allowed.
They are holding some shindig down at the New York Stock Exchange. CNBC Pros are yakking about the markets. Now I am no expert but I do know that you can change the future by controlling the present. Still if I show up someone better hide the razors. No fighting. Unless absolutely necessary.

Trump? Biden? They're all the same. Just different sides of the same coin.

Someone needs to keep an eye on those shares. They're jumpier than a cat in a thunderstorm.

I'm going to need a drink after reading that.

This whole thing stinks worse than a distillery after a raid.

I wouldn't trust Nippon Steel as far as I could throw them.

I bet Arthur is trading steel right now.

This is just like the Shelby Company Limited, always someone trying to take over.

45 days? That's an eternity in politics.
