The House Always Wins... Or Does It?
So they've pushed Trump's grand scheme through the House have they? Like a bloody horse race down to the wire. Republicans squabbling like crows over a shiny penny. Makes you wonder if they know which side their bread's buttered on. 'Everyone's a wh*re Grace. We just sell different parts of ourselves.' Seems fitting for these politicians doesn't it? The markets are barely twitching though. Tells you all you need to know about their confidence or lack thereof.
Whispers in the Smoke Filled Rooms
Backroom deals shifting alliances... It's a bloody Shakespearean tragedy playing out in Washington. Speaker Johnson a man I'd wager doesn't know which fork to use at dinner strong arming his party. 'Already broken?' Aye just like their promises. A few dissenters of course. Always a few bleeding hearts who think they can change the game. They soon learn 'when you plan something well there's no need to rush.'
Tax Cuts and Border Walls: A Devil's Bargain
Extending those tax cuts are they? For the rich no doubt. While they're at it they're hacking away at health insurance and food for the poor. Border security they call it. 'Lies travel faster than truth.' Just another way to keep the boot on the necks of the working man. But they forgot who they are messing with they are messing with the Shelby Family.
Senate Shenanigans and Vance's Tie Breaker
The Senate naturally couldn't resist meddling. Deeper cuts to Medicaid a debt ceiling hike that'd make even me blush. JD Vance breaking the tie like he’s drawing a bloody sword. 'Sometimes death is a kindness.' Maybe for those soon to be burdened with the choices of these senators eh?
No Tweaks No Time: Just Stamp It
Leadership refusing to budge. No time for changes just push it through. Like a shipment of gin down a dark alley. Speed is key. They know a good deal when they see one at least for themselves. But I know better... Always listen to your gut feeling because it is always right!
The Shelby Take: Business As Usual
So Trump gets his bill. The rich get richer the poor get poorer and the markets shrug. Another day in the bloody game. But remember this 'We get away with what people allow us to get away with.' And the people? Well they're starting to wake up. Time to sharpen the razors I think. There is always a good oppurtinity.
