By Order of the Peaky Billionaire
Right so I've been keeping an eye on this Musk fella haven't I? Seems he's had a right barney with that Trump the one with the hair like a bird's nest. Public spat social media – the usual carry on for those with too much time and not enough sense. Musk's regretting some of his jibes says they 'went too far'. Too far for whom eh? Not for me I say. A bit of fire never hurt anyone. Though admittedly it can singe the profits and that's where I start to pay attention. As my mother used to say 'sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't'. And in business sometimes the devil's in the details or should I say DOGE. But family religion friends. These are the trifles of an unhardened man.
DOGE Days Are Over?
Apparently this feud started over some tax and spending bill. Musk thinks it's undermining his precious 'Department of Government Efficiency' – DOGE they call it. Sounds like a mutt to me but each to their own. He went off on one calling it out on social media claiming it'll bloat the US budget. The Trump lot naturally are saying otherwise. All I know is when the money men start arguing it's time to see where the weaknesses lie. Opportunities are born in chaos after all. A good businessman knows when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em.
Deleting the Evidence: A Shelby Tactic
Musk's been busy deleting posts like a guilty conscience sweeping up broken glass after a brawl. One of them linked Trump to the Epstein business. Nasty stuff. The White House naturally denied it. Another post backed Trump's impeachment. Now I'm no stranger to covering my tracks but this smells of panic. You make your bed you lie in it even if it's made of money and regret.
X Marks the Spot (for Trouble)
The whole shebang played out on Musk's X platform and Trump's Truth Social. Two blokes squabbling like kids in a playground only with more zeros in their bank accounts. Trump even threatened to pull government contracts from Musk's companies. Now that's a threat worth taking seriously. You don't poke the bear unless you're ready to dance. But you always need to keep one hand on your gun.
Starlink: A Diamond in the Rough
Despite all the bluster Trump's decided to keep Musk's Starlink tech at the White House. Satellite internet eh? Sounds like something out of a spy film. Always have a back up plan Tommy. Never trust the main line. This shows even in the midst of a feud there's value to be had. Everyone is a whore Grace. We just sell different parts of ourselves.
The Shelby Company's Verdict: Business as Usual
So what's the takeaway? Two powerful men had a falling out said some daft things and are now trying to pick up the pieces. The market wobbled a bit but it'll settle. For me it's a reminder that even the richest most powerful men are just as prone to foolishness as the rest of us. And that's a comforting thought isn't it? Now if you'll excuse me I've got a business to run. No rest for the wicked.
