A Million Reasons to Trust AI
Right listen up. OpenAI reckons they've snagged three million businesses paying their way. Three million. That's a million more than they had in February. Seems like everyone's suddenly gone daft for this ChatGPT lark. Like a bloody Shelby Company deal only instead of razor blades we're pushing AI. And people are buying it by order of OpenAI.
Consumer Craze to Corporate Cash Cow
They started this game with some chatbot for the masses a bit of fun for the mugs. Now they're launching workplace versions cashing in on the chaos. As their COO this Lightcap fella says the consumer craze and the enterprise adoption are linked like me and a bloody cigarette. One fuels the other see? Smart move but not Shelby Company Limited smart. Not yet.
Billions Flying Faster Than a Grey Mare
Four hundred million weekly active users they've got apparently. And this year? Expecting revenue of $12.7 billion. Now I’ve moved less legitimate money in my time but that’s a tale for another night. Last year they thought they'd be down five billion but now they are expected to make billions meaning they are playing a different game. It's all about the bloody long game innit? Like chess only with more zeros. More bloody zeros than I care to count.
Regulated Industries? More Like Ripe Pickings
Financial services healthcare... even the stuffed shirts in those industries are getting on board. Lowe's Morgan Stanley Uber – they're all playing the OpenAI game. Shows you doesn't it? Everyone wants a slice of the future even if they don't understand the bloody rules. Like a racehorse at Epsom charging forward without a clue. But they'll learn. Or they'll bleed.
Connectors and Canvas: Making Life Easier or Lazier?
They're adding 'connectors' now letting workers grab data from all their fancy cloud storage. Makes things easier they say. I say it makes them soft. And they've got this 'record mode' thing transcribing meetings. Bloody hell soon nobody will have to actually listen anymore. Just record and regurgitate. Progress they call it. I call it a recipe for getting stabbed in the back and not even hearing the footsteps coming.
Nine Enterprises a Week? Keep That Pace Up
Nine enterprises a week they're signing up. Not bad. But they need to keep that pace if they want to stay ahead. Lightcap says people are seeing this AI as part of the 'modern tool stack.' I say every tool can be a weapon if you know how to use it. And remember what I always say: 'Intelligence is a very valuable thing innit my friend? And usually it comes far too f***ing late.' So use this AI wisely or get left behind. By order of the Peaky Blinders.
