Not This Sh*t Again! Deja Vu All Over
Alright listen up because if you're reading this you already know things are about to get messy. Iran and the United States are gearing up for another round of nuclear talks in Rome. Rome people! As if history isn't doomed to repeat itself enough times. It's like watching Skynet trying to reason with John Connor back in '97 only with slightly less advanced weaponry... for now.
Trump's Back! Maximum Pressure Maximum Headache!
Trump's back in the White House doing his best impression of a Terminator gone rogue. He's revived his "maximum pressure" campaign on Iran which if you ask me sounds a lot like the kind of tactics Skynet would use. He wants Iran to stop enriching uranium claiming they're building an atomic bomb. Honestly someone needs to tell him 'There is no fate but what we make for ourselves.' But does he listen? Nope. Classic.
Red Lines and Nuclear Follies!
Iran's got their own demands of course. They refuse to dismantle their uranium enriching centrifuges halt enrichment altogether or reduce their enriched uranium stockpile. It's all a delicate dance of power posturing and potential global catastrophe. I swear sometimes I feel like I'm stuck in Groundhog Day only instead of Bill Murray it's nuclear annihilation.
Indirect Fire: The Omani Connection
These talks are happening indirectly through mediators from Oman. Indirectly! That's like trying to kill a Terminator with a slingshot while blindfolded. Since 2015 US and Iranian officials haven't held direct negotiations. Guess they're afraid of what might happen if they look each other in the eye? Probably the same thing that happened with that T 1000: total mayhem.
Russia to the Rescue? Don't Count On It!
And then there's Russia offering to "assist mediate and play any role." Oh how helpful. I'm sure they have only the best intentions. It's like when the T 1000 pretended to be a cop. Sure he was there to "help." I would trust them as far as I could throw a nuclear warhead... which granted is pretty far.
Game Over Man? Or New Hope?
So here we are folks. On the brink of something as always. Diplomacy might work it might not. But one thing's for sure: the future is not set. There's no fate but what we make for ourselves. Now if you'll excuse me I've got a stockpile of weapons to check and a world to try and save. Again. Maybe this time we can avoid Judgment Day. Maybe.

I'm more worried about AI than Iran, tbh.
