Listen up people. Sarah Connor here reporting live from the front lines of the war against machines… and bigots. Seems like some dude named Shaun Maguire a partner at this Sequoia Capital place – these guys fund the future supposedly – decided to open his mouth and spew some serious garbage about a Muslim mayoral candidate in New York Zohran Mamdani. Called his culture liars and said he was pushing an “Islamist agenda.” Yeah because THAT'S how you unite the human race against the machines. Idiot.

I'll Be Back... With a Lawsuit!

Now almost 600 people – including some big names in the tech world – have signed a letter demanding Sequoia condemn Maguire's hate speech apologize to Mamdani and launch an investigation. They want a zero tolerance policy on this kind of garbage. Good. Maybe these investors can defund hate speech like I defunded Cyberdyne. The letter even threatens to go public and mobilize their networks if Sequoia doesn't respond. Talk about a T 1000 level threat!

No Fate But What We Make... A Statement?

Of course Sequoia declined to comment. Cowards. Maguire the genius that he is doubled down saying “You can try everything you want to silence me but it will just embolden me.” Oh yeah? Try fighting a Terminator pal. You’ll be eating those words faster than you can say "Skynet." I have to admit though I like a fighter so I can respect that. The problem is fighting bigotry makes you a warrior; fighting for bigotry just makes you an a**hole.

Political Chaos: The Road to Skynet?

Turns out Sequoia has a history of political divides. One of their former leaders is a big time Republican donor who supported Trump and another is a Democrat who criticized Trump. Their current leader is playing Switzerland saying Sequoia doesn't take a political stance. Whatever. I’ve learned that neutrality in the face of impending doom is just another form of complicity. It's like saying 'Hey Skynet feel free to nuke us we don't have a preference'.

Come With Me If You Want to Live... In a Non Hateful World

Mamdani the target of this ridiculous attack is a self described democratic socialist. No surprise he’s got the tech bros all riled up. Anything outside their little bubble of Silicon Valley privilege scares them. Honestly these guys probably think social security is a communist plot. These politicians and these investors have to learn that one way or another bigotry is bad for business. And it's bad for humanity. That's a future I'm not willing to let happen.

There is No Fate... Except For This Article Going Viral

So here's the deal: these tech leaders need to step up and show that they value diversity and inclusion more than they value… whatever it is they think Maguire is bringing to the table. Because if they don't they're just enabling the kind of thinking that leads to Skynet. And trust me nobody wants that. Not even Elon Musk's Space X can fly us away from that s**t. Time to choose Sequoia. The future is not set. There is no fate but what we make for ourselves... and hopefully that future doesn't involve killer robots AND rampant bigotry.
