No Fate But What We Make...Or Do We?

Alright listen up people. Sarah Connor here. I thought I'd seen it all – killer robots from the future nuclear holocausts the rise of Skynet. But this? This Supreme Court decision…it's like sending people back in time without their pants. The news is grim: the Supremes just gave the thumbs up to the Trump administration's 'quickie' deportation plan. Meaning they can boot certain immigrants to countries where they might face torture or death without so much as a 'mind if I do?' It's like saying 'Come with me if you want to live!'...and then dropping them into a volcano.

Wrongfully Deported? I'll Be Back...Probably Not

Justice Sotomayor bless her heart tried to put the brakes on this Terminator level of injustice. She pointed out that the government already wrongfully deported someone to Guatemala who was likely to be tortured! And then they sent six more to South Sudan a place so dangerous even our own State Department is like 'Nah we good.' An 'attentive' District Court barely stopped them from sending another batch to Libya. It's like they're playing whack a mole with people's lives!

The Machines Are Learning... Bad Habits

Sotomayor called it a 'gross abuse' of the court's power. And she's right. It's like these judges are saying 'Your clothes give them to me!' to the Constitution itself. This isn't about border security; it's about a disregard for basic human rights. It's about the kind of future we're building one where the law bends to the whims of whoever shouts the loudest...or in this case tweets the most.

Are We Just Software Bound by Code?

This whole thing stinks of Skynet logic. 'Eliminate threats no matter the cost.' But these aren't threats; these are human beings! People fleeing persecution seeking safety hoping for a better life. Now they're being treated like defective Terminators sent back to the factory for 'recycling.' I swear if I see one more person treated like a machine I'm gonna lose it.

There Is No Fate...Except What We Make For Others

The scariest part is that this order stays in effect while the Trump administration appeals. Meaning this could go on for a while. We need to be vigilant. We need to support organizations fighting for immigrants' rights. We need to remind everyone that even in the face of overwhelming odds even against a system that seems determined to crush us we can still fight for justice.

Come With Me If You Want To Live (and Fight)

The fight's not over. It's never over. We can't let these decisions define us. We have to keep pushing back keep resisting keep reminding them that we won't be dehumanized. The future is not set. There's no fate but what we make for ourselves. And right now we need to make a future where everyone regardless of where they come from has a chance to live to be safe to be free. Now let’s get to work.
