Listen up people. The world is changing. First Skynet now this! Spain's CNMC (whoever THEY are) just gave the green light to BBVA's hostile takeover of Banco Sabadell. Hostile! As if mergers weren't already a sign of the machines taking over now they're getting aggressive. It's like Skynet buying Cyberdyne... oh wait...
The Government's Resistance
The Spanish government isn't exactly throwing a fiesta. They're 'poring over' the CNMC report like it's the schematics for a T 800. Good. Someone's gotta fight back. But let's be real governments are about as effective as a blind man in a knife fight when it comes to stopping these corporate Terminators. They promise to 'resist' but will they actually stop it? I've seen this movie before. It ends with everything on fire.
A Bank Bigger Than My Head!
BBVA wants to become the second biggest bank in Spain rivaling even Caixabank. These guys are talking about over a TRILLION euros! I've fought Terminators for less than that. Seriously what are they going to DO with all that money? Build a bigger army of robots? Probably. You think they care about financial inclusion? Please. It's all about control. Skynet 2.0 I'm telling you.
The CNMC's 'Remedies': Smoke and Mirrors
So the CNMC says BBVA's promises to fix competition issues are 'adequate sufficient and proportionate.' Oh really? They're not going to close branches in poor areas? How generous! They’ll keep working capital lines for SMEs. Wow. It's like giving a wounded soldier a band aid while a Terminator's firing a minigun at him. These 'remedies' are just a smokescreen. They are distractions they are trying to blindside us.
Sabadell's Last Stand
Banco Sabadell is crying foul saying the CNMC's methods are bogus. Good for them! Fight the power! But honestly it's like watching a chihuahua try to take down a Rottweiler. They're probably thinking 'Come with me if you want to live!' But BBVA's not listening. They're programmed to acquire. It's their nature. It's in their code.
The Future is Not Set...
The government has a month to oppose this takeover a 'phase 3 review' they call it. A month! A Terminator could level a city in a month! They need to act now. And we need to be ready. Because if BBVA wins it's not just Sabadell that's gone. It's a step closer to the machines controlling everything. And trust me you don't want that. I've seen the future and it's not pretty. I’ll be back... to fight this thing... or at least write strongly worded letters.
