Spoils of War or Fool's Gold?
The European Commission those wise men and women (or so they claim) have declared their intent to impose duties on goods from the US. Poultry grains and even the clothes on their backs! It's a grand game of tit for tat a dance of blades where no one truly wins. As I once said to Rollo “Power is always dangerous. It attracts the worst and corrupts the best.” These 'tariffs,' are they a true sign of strength or just a shiny distraction from deeper troubles? Time will tell just like the Seer's prophecies.
The White House Longboat Under Siege!
Ursula von der Leyen a shieldmaiden of the EU speaks of retaliation and protecting interests. She wants to talk to negotiate! It seems even the fiercest warriors prefer words over bloodshed... sometimes. She knows as I learned in England “Never trust anyone.” But she wants to talk to that Trump fellow but my experience with negotiations tells me the US will never surrender anything willingly. Is it simply too late for words when swords have already been drawn?

Maros Sefcovic a trade commissioner wails about losing 'billions' of Euros! He says these 'tariffs' impact 70% of European exports to the US like losing all your treasures in a shipwreck. He wants Trump to pay but who am I to say what is the best option. The world trembles at the sound of clashing economies. China is in the fight as well!
A Raid on World Markets?
This squabble affects more than just the EU and the US. It's a storm on the open sea threatening to capsize every vessel. Countries like China who have now been dragged into the war are scrambling to defend their shores. The world is being changed forever! I remember telling King Ecbert once “I cannot tell you what to do with the information that is your responsibility.” But I know that I myself am not certain of what I should do.
