A Feast of Acquisitions!

Hark fellow Vikings! News from across the seas has reached my longhouse. It seems Doordash a company known for delivering sustenance faster than a Valkyrie has set its sights on new conquests. They've snatched up SevenRooms for a sum of $1.2 billion – a hefty tribute indeed! And then like a true Viking raid they've laid claim to Deliveroo for $3.9 billion! Seems they are trying to make the world know who wants to eat!

Spoils of War... or Just Scraps?

But not all is mead and merriment! While Doordash boasts of expanding their empire their first quarter revenues fell short of expectations. $3.03 billion they say when the soothsayers predicted $3.09 billion. A minor setback perhaps? Like missing a throw of the axe… annoying but not fatal. As Floki says “Sometimes we must lose ourselves to find ourselves.” But let's hope they find those missing coins soon!

Orders Up! More Mouths to Feed

Still the numbers tell a tale of growing hunger. Doordash fulfilled 732 million orders this quarter an 18% surge from last year! That's a lot of hungry mouths. They must be feasting like they are in Valhalla every night! I wonder do they deliver mead as well? A Viking needs his drink after a long day of... analyzing financial reports.

Net Gain Not Loss!

There's more good news to celebrate! This year Doordash made $193 million in profit! Last year they suffered a loss of $23 million... Looks like they’ve stopped feeding the Gods with their own supplies. As I always say "Power is only given to those who dare to lower their guard and reach out to grab it!". Well done Doordash!

The Grocery Run: Raiding the Local Market

Ah the grocery delivery category is blooming they say. More folks are spending their coins on food delivered right to their doorstep. And these soft people want their fresh goods delivered too! Spending more on perishables? I prefer my meat aged like a fine raider. But each to their own I suppose. More food for all is good for everyone!

Beware the Geopolitics Storm!

But beware my friends! Doordash speaks of "geopolitical and currency risks." Increased international presence is a double edged sword. Like sailing into uncharted waters one may find treasure or a Kraken waiting to pull you down to the depths! International trade is war by other means you know. They better prepare for the storm.

Geopolitics? More like God-politics! The Gods are always testing us.

I would've prefered them buying a beer factory instead...
