Is It Back? Or Are We Being Bean Boozled?
Right so apparently these IPO things are trying to make a comeback! Like me trying to make a soufflé – lots of hope but usually ends up a bit…well you know. This eToro company it jumped! Nearly 29%! That’s like when I jumped trying to reach that lightbulb… nearly got it. And this other company CoreWeave sounds like something you’d use to knit a very strong cardigan their shares have gone completely bonkers growing so fast!
Trump's Tariff Tantrums!
Oh and then there were these tariff things. Sounded like a right old mess didn’t it? Mr. Trump he’s like me trying to decorate my flat – lots of grand plans but sometimes you end up with a paint pot on your head. It made some companies like Klarna and StubHub hide under the covers delaying everything like when I tried to avoid Mrs. Wicket after breaking her favorite vase. Uh oh!
A Bean Sized Ray of Hope!
But! BUT! E Toro seems to have gone for it and found success. So maybe there is some hope. Like when you find a ten pound note in your old coat. So other company’s have decided to go for it. Fintech company Chime and Omada Health have decided to go for it. Fingers crossed everyone! Don't want to end up painting yourself into a corner!
Ernst & Young Said Something Clever
A clever person called Rachel Gerring from Ernst & Young (sounds like a posh shop) said the market IS going to come back. 'It's not a matter of if.' I hope so. The last thing I want is to sell Teddy so I can pay the electricity bills!
Health and Chips!
Next week all eyes are on Hinge Health. I hope they're selling hinges for doors. Mine has broken. And then there’s this Cerebras company making chips. Not the kind you eat with fish mind you. Their IPO was all tangled up in red tape like when I tried to wrap Teddy for Christmas. Hopefully those chips will stop Mrs. Wicket's telly from breaking!
The BIG Question!
So will the IPO market actually recover? They say it will but you know what they say about hope… it's like when I hope to get a free sandwich. Rarely happens. Still fingers crossed eh? Maybe I should invest. But with what? Beans? Perhaps Teddy knows the answer but he's not very good at sharing secrets... or money.
