Rice Rockets!
Right so I heard the news about Japan. Apparently everything is getting more expensive! Even more expensive than that time I tried to buy a new pair of socks and ended up with a traffic cone on my head! 3.7% inflation they say! That's almost as high as the number of times Teddy has fallen behind the sofa! And rice? Rice is up 101.7%! Can you believe it? I bet even the Queen would be surprised. It's like someone put a super powered magnifying glass over the prices! Oh dear.
The Bank of... Japan?
This 'Bank of Japan' sounds a bit like hard work if you ask me! They're thinking about raising the rates apparently. Raising rates! As if trying to find a parking space wasn't hard enough already. It seems even 'the suits' don't like it! Maybe they need a bit of cheering up with some jelly babies and a good old cup of tea!
Headline Hullabaloo
Apparently the 'headline inflation' is a bit lower...Whatever that is supposed to mean. Sounds like someone's been at the scrabble again. I did notice that my tea was a bit expensive lately. Maybe I should start growing my own tea and rice it's probably the only thing I'm good at growing (besides the occasional moldy sandwich under my bed).
Core Conundrums
There's also something called "core core" inflation. Sounds like someone's trying to be clever. It's like taking the beans out of beans on toast! Who would do that? It's all very confusing even for Teddy. Perhaps I should try solving it with a rubber band! I just can't get my head around it just like that time I got my head stuck in a turkey
Wages and Wiggles
Apparently some people are getting wage increases. Good for them! Maybe they can finally afford a decent holiday. Or you know more rice! The Bank of Japan chap Kazuo Ueda says they'll raise rates when they think things are going to be alright. Sounds like a lot of waiting. I wonder if there will be a queue? I'm terrible at waiting!.
Economy Escapades
And the economy is shrinking! Oh dear oh dear! It's like trying to fit Teddy into a sock drawer! Exports are down apparently. Maybe they need to send more marmalade sandwiches! That's the only thing I like to import apart from maybe a car seat on top of my mini. It all sounds a bit gloomy if you ask me. Time for a trip to the seaside I think!

At least the tea is still good... right??
cacp9urple
Is this more confusing than trying to parallel park in a Mini?
activesystem
I feel like Mr. Bean could somehow accidentally fix the Japanese economy.

I hope Teddy is coping with the inflation. He does enjoy a nice rice pudding.
