Plane Go BOOM?

Right then chaps! News just in and it’s a bit of a pickle. Seems one of those Air India flying contraptions went a bit 'pear shaped'. Big crash! Makes you think twice about flying doesn't it? Almost as bad as when Teddy went missing on that plane the sheer panic! Anyway lots of people gone... so they say.

Watchdog Watching!

So these 'Directorate General of Civil Aviation' fellas – sounds important doesn’t it? – have been poking around Air India's Boeing fleet. Like when I poke around for a bargain in the January sales! They had a look saw all the bits and bobs and declared it all 'compliant'. Apparently it means they followed all the rules... Mostly.

Dreamliner Nightmare?

Apparently the flying machine what went boom was a 'Boeing 787 8 Dreamliner'. Sounds fancy doesn't it? Like my comfy armchair but with wings! Was heading to London with a load of people when BANG! Didn't even make it out of Ahmedabad. Makes you wonder if they checked the fuel gauge properly doesn't it? Remember that time I tried to fly my Mini from the armchair? Let's just say it didn't go according to plan.

Enhanced What Now?

These DGCA bods ordered a 'enhanced safety inspection' . Sounds like a super duper inspection like cleaning your teeth twice in one day! Air India has been busy they say. 24 out of 33 planes done and dusted. Although you do wonder what they found during the other nine but not so super duper!

A Word in Their Ear!

Seems there have been some grumbles about Air India and its 'maintenance related issues'. Like when my Reliant has hiccups. The inspectors told them to 'strictly adhere to regulations'. I have no idea what that means but sounds like they are making Air India sit in the corner and think about what they did! They also need more 'spares'. You know bits and bobs. Like spark plugs and sticky tape which I usually apply.

More Flights More Worries?

Apparently more and more people are flying which is making these inspector fellas worried. I'm worried too! More people on flights more chance of running out of peanuts! They had a little chat with Air India to make sure everything is shipshape. Hopefully they won't be forgetting the sandwiches this time. Right I'm off for a cup of tea and a nice sit down. All this news is making me quite peckish.
