
Holy Bowly! Doctor Knows Best But Jackie Adds the Kick!
Hey hey! It's Jackie Chan here! You know me always tumbling always punching always trying to stay young enough to outrun the bad guys! So I hear about this ER doctor Poonam Desai right? Twenty years of experience! She's telling everyone about longevity medicine. Longevity? Sounds like a new stunt I gotta try! She's all about teaching people to live longer and stay healthy focusing on fiber. Fiber? Sounds boring! But if it helps me climb buildings faster I'm in! She even practices what she preaches! Like me with my action scenes – no CGI all real… well mostly!
30 40 Grams of Fiber? That's More Than My Chopsticks Weigh!
So this Dr. Desai she's chowing down on 30 to 40 grams of fiber a day! Woah! That's like eating a whole bamboo forest! Apparently the average person only gets 10 to 15 grams. That's… pathetic! No wonder they can't do a simple somersault! I'm thinking maybe fiber is the secret to all my crazy stunts. I mean I’ve fallen off buildings jumped onto buses and even slid down skyscrapers! Maybe it's all the fiber I accidentally ate off the floor! Ha! But hey who am I to argue with a doctor? Especially one who helps me stay limber enough to avoid getting seriously injured while saving the day!
Fruit Bowls and Veggie Attacks!
Dr. Desai's secret weapon? Chia seeds in water! Sounds like something I'd accidentally drink on set! She throws a tablespoon in 30 ounces of water. Hmm maybe I should try that before my next fight scene. Could give me the extra *oomph* to knock out the bad guys! And huge bowls of fruits and veggies! Apples oranges kiwis berries… sounds like a fruit salad explosion! And raw cauliflower broccoli cabbage? Okay maybe I'll stick to the fruit. Unless someone can deep fry the broccoli. Then we're talking!
Lentils and Beans: The Secret Weapon of a Vegetarian Dragon!
Now she's a vegetarian. Lots of lentils and beans. I'm more of a 'eat everything that doesn't eat me first' kind of guy but hey whatever works! I do love a good tofu scramble. Apparently all those plant based proteins are packed with fiber. Maybe I should try a vegetarian diet… for one day. Then back to the Peking duck! Because let's face it a dragon needs his fuel!
