Mama always said 'Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get.' And boy was she right! Seems like Mr. Trump and Mr. Bezos are proving that. Remember when Mr. Trump used to call Mr. Bezos 'Jeff Bozo'? Well things have changed faster than Bubba could eat a plate of shrimp! Now Mr. Trump's calling him a 'good guy.' It's like magic I tell you what.

Tariffs: Running the Table or Running in Place?

Now all this started 'cause of some tariffs. Mr. Trump's got these big tariffs like throwing a rock across the road right? And Amazon well they sell a whole lotta things and these tariffs might make things cost more. People were worried Amazon would show on their website how much these tariffs are hiking up prices but Amazon said 'Nope not gonna happen.' It's like when Lieutenant Dan said he'd be my first mate on a shrimp boat. Plans change ya know?

Amazon's Earnings: Slow and Steady or a Bolt of Lightning?

Amazon's earnings report is coming out and people are nervous. It's supposed to be slower than molasses in January like me trying to understand advanced math. They think the tariffs might be making people not spend as much. But Mr. Jassy the head honcho at Amazon he says people are still buying things. They're just trying to keep prices down like when I was playing ping pong for the Army always focused on the next shot.

Now Amazon's got this place called 'Amazon Haul,' where things are real cheap like getting a whole shrimp boat for the price of a bicycle. A lot of those things come from China but Mr. Trump's making it harder to get them here cheap. That's gonna make folks have to choose where they spend their money. It's like when I had to choose between staying with Jenny or running... sometimes there ain't no easy answer.

Suppliers and Savings: Cutbacks or Changeups?

Amazon's been asking their suppliers to cut prices like asking Bubba to only eat one shrimp at a time. Some sellers are already raising prices and others are looking for new places to get their stuff like Vietnam or Mexico. It's like when I started running and ended up all over the country. Sometimes you gotta find a new path.

The Future is Unclear But Prime Day is Coming!

So what's gonna happen? Nobody knows for sure not even me and I know a thing or two about running! Amazon's Prime Day is coming up but some sellers might not have as many deals this year like running a marathon with no water. But as Mama always said 'You have to do the best with what God gave you.' So we'll just have to wait and see. And that's all I have to say about that.
