Mama always said "Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get." But lately seems like folks in Denmark know exactly what they don't want: American stuff. Seems like Mr. Trump the fella with the funny hair has ruffled some feathers over in Denmark with his talk about Greenland and those things called 'tariffs.' Tariffs are like when Bubba used to charge extra for shrimp he caught near the pier just 'cause he could. Only this time it's on a much bigger scale.

Run Forrest Run… to the European Aisle!

These Danes they’re like Jenny when she didn’t want nothin’ to do with me. They're turnin' their backs on Uncle Sam’s goodies. One store worker a nice lady named Sanne told some fancy news people that folks are doin' it to give Mr. Trump a little 'protest.' And another lady Sanja well she wasn’t too happy about the whole situation neither. It’s kinda like when Lieutenant Dan was yellin' at God during the storm except this time they're yellin' at… well you get the picture.

A Star is Born… on European Groceries!

Now this big grocery store company Salling Group they're makin' it easier for folks to pick out European stuff. They put a little star on the price tags so you know it's from around there. They say they ain't 'boycotting' American stuff but folks are happy about it anyway. It’s like when Bubba told me all the different ways you can cook shrimp: you can boil it broil it bake it saute it. Well now they're just showing you which shrimp are local!

We Was Always Takin' Long Walks… Away from American Products

It seems like this 'boycott' thing is catching on like that time I started running and everyone joined in. They even got a hashtag #BoycottUSA which is like a secret code for findin' things made closer to home. And in Canada they’re even calling their coffee 'Canadianos.' I wonder if they serve it with maple syrup that’s the Canadian Bubba Gump way!?

And That's All I Have to Say About That… And Tesla Too!

Even big companies like Starbucks and McDonald's are feelin' the heat. And this fancy car company called Tesla well their sales are goin' down. Some folks are even gettin’ mad and messing with the dealerships! Mr. Trump slapped some extra charges on stuff coming from Europe and now a fella named Jens Lund says it’s gonna take a while to see how it all shakes out. But he figures folks will just buy whatever's cheapest like Jenny always lookin' for the best deal. But Lourdes a lady from France hit the nail on the head like when you know where you are going when you know where to put your foot: If the product is expensive she goes for the cheaper one.

And it ain't just groceries. Seems like fewer folks are heading to America these days. Air Canada says less people are flying south and this fella Sebastien Bazin said that bookings are down 'cause folks are worried about comin' here. One lady Sanja said she's even goin' all the way around America to visit her husband’s family in Colombia kinda like how Lieutenant Dan went all the way around the world to find peace. She said she has two young kids and it ain't worth the trouble. And that's all I have to say about that.
