What in the World Just Happened?
Aw gee! I just heard the news folks! Pope Francis that fella who was always squawkin' about kindness and stuff well he's gone to that big duck pond in the sky! Can you believe it? Eighty eight years young and *poof*! He's off to join the choir invisible! What a quack up!
He Was One Smart Duck!
This Pope he was somethin' special! The first from Argentina the first Jesuit Pope. He was always stirrin' the pot ruffling some feathers especially those old foghorns in the church! But he stood up for the little guy the ones nobody else cared about. Hooey hooey hooey that's my kind of duck!
Even the Big Shots are Cryin'!
You wouldn't believe who's been squawkin' about how much they liked him! World leaders from every corner of the globe! U.S. Vice President Vance President Trump that fancy French fella Macron and even the King of England King Charles himself! They're all sayin' how much they'll miss him. Hot dog! That’s a lot of bigwigs!
A Friend to All Even This Duck!
It seems like everyone loved this guy! They’re sayin’ he was a champion of peace a friend to the poor and a real humanitarian. Even the big shots in Iran are sad! I tell ya that's one heck of a legacy even for a Pope! He always knew the importance of a good nap after a long day of quacking...err I mean preaching.
From Brazil to New Zealand Tears Everywhere!
The President of Brazil declared seven days of mourning! Seven days! That's like a whole week of no cartoons! And the Prime Minister of New Zealand said he was saddened! Saddened I tell ya! This Pope really made a splash even across the biggest oceans!

So good riddance...I mean farewell Pope Francis! You were a real character a true original! And you made the world a little bit better. Even a cranky duck like me can appreciate that. Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go find a quiet pond and think about all this. And maybe have a waffle. WAK!
