Chip Companies Feeling the Heat!

Aw gee whiz! This is Donald Duck reporting and let me tell ya things are gettin' hotter than a chili pepper! The Financial Times spilled the beans that the White House told Cadence and Synopsys to stop sellin' their fancy chip design software to China. Can you believe it? Those stocks dropped faster than me tryin' to catch a free lunch! It's enough to make ya wanna shout "Oh boy oh boy oh boy!"

Stocks Go Down Like My Temper!

Cadence? Down almost 11%! Synopsys? Plummeted about 10%! That's worse than the time Huey Dewey and Louie 'helped' me bake a cake! Apparently the Bureau of Industry and Security sent some strongly worded letters. Synopsys CEO Sassine Ghazi said they haven't gotten a notice *yet* but he expects a big drop in revenue from China. Talk about a headache!

Silence of the Chip Makers

Now I tried to get a quote from Cadence and Siemens myself but they were quieter than a mouse in a clock! Maybe they're too busy countin' their losses. Or maybe they are just trying to find out where exactly they went wrong according to the letter they were sent allegedly! Who knows? But I'll tell you what it is as mysterious as magic!

Trump Card vs. Biden's 'Diffusion Rule'

This whole thing happened after they got rid of Biden's chip 'Diffusion Rule,' which limited AI processor exports. Nvidia was doin' the jitterbug over that but now they're probably squawking too! The future is as unclear as mud.

Huawei's AI Chips Under Fire!

And get this the Bureau of Industry and Security is also warnin' folks about using Huawei Ascend AI chips. Apparently if you do they might come after you! It's like that time I tried to use Goofy's inventions – nothing but trouble! Oh and get a load of this it is not clear how this policy will affect Nvidia's business.

China Cries Foul!

China's Ministry of Commerce is yellin' louder than me when I stub my toe! They say this undermines their trade agreement and want the White House to "correct its mistakes." Correcting mistakes? Sounds like someone needs to take a page out of *my* book! It's like they say "Wakka Wakka Wakka!"...or is that just me? Aw phooey! What a mess!
