What's up Doc? It's yours truly Bugs Bunny reporting live from the economic warren! Seems our pal President Trump is doing a bit of the old 'pass the buck' routine. According to the news the U.S. economy took a bit of a tumble last quarter like Wile E. Coyote off a cliff. And who does Trump blame? Why that wascally wabbit Biden of course! He even hopped onto Truth Social to declare 'This is Biden's Stock Market not Trump's!' Well ain't that a stinker?
Tariffs: A Hare Brained Scheme?
Now Trump's got this theory about tariffs see? He thinks they're gonna be the bee's knees bringing companies flocking to the U.S. faster than I can say 'What's up Doc?' But some folks the smart fellas are saying these tariffs are causing more trouble than a Tasmanian Devil in a china shop. They're whispering about uncertainty and fear which ain't exactly the ingredients for a 'boom,' if you catch my drift.
Boom Goes the Dynamite... or Does It?
Trump's promising a 'boom' like no other a real whopper! But he's also saying it'll 'take a while' to get rid of this 'Biden overhang.' Sounds like he's trying to have his carrot and eat it too eh? He says it has NOTHING to do with tariffs but all to do with the bad numbers that Biden left. I bet the American public will be patient...said no one ever!
Numbers Don't Lie (But Politicians Do?)
The numbers are telling a different story. GDP down payrolls smaller than a flea's breakfast and inflation? Higher than Elmer Fudd's blood pressure when I steal his carrots! Trump claims prices are coming 'way down,' but the data says otherwise. As Yosemite Sam would say 'Great horny toads!' Somebody's fibbing!
Mirror Mirror on the Wall...
Here's the real kicker folks. Remember when Trump was taking credit for the stock market during Biden's time? Now he's trying to dodge responsibility faster than I can dig a hole. It's a real case of 'If the shoe fits wear it... unless it's pinching my toes!'
