Stag What Now?

Ay caramba! So like the Federal Reserve dudes were totally wigging out about this thing called 'stagflation.' Sounds like something Milhouse would invent right? Apparently it's when the economy goes all slow and prices go KA BOOM! Like when Principal Skinner tries to make 'Skinner Burgers' – nobody wins!

Trump's Tariffs: A Doh! cent Idea?

Turns out these tariffs that President Trump slapped on everything were supposed to make prices go bonkers. But guess what? Inflation is actually lower than expected! Maybe those businesses are just sucking it up kinda like when I have to eat Mom's broccoli. Ugh!

Trade Deals: The New Krusty Burgers?

But hold the phone dudes! It seems like Trump made some deals with the UK and China to chill out on the tariffs. So prices stay low and everyone's happy especially the American consumer. They are like the 'Don't have a cow man!' of the economy. Rock on!

Numbers Numbers Everywhere!

Alright prepare for some serious brain melting stuff. The Consumer Price Index whatever that is went up 0.2% in April. And annual inflation is the lowest since February 2021. See? I can be a brainiac if I want to! Now where's my cupcake?

Stocks: Up Down All Around!

The S&P 500 is doing the happy dance but the Dow Jones Industrial Average ate a lemon! UnitedHealth's stocks went down the toilet. Meanwhile Nvidia is sending a ton of chips to Saudi Arabia. Sounds like a plot for a Comic Book Guy's sci fi epic!

New Shiny Things and Layoff Blues!

So like Trump's lifting sanctions on Syria and Saudi Arabia's gonna dump a ton of cash in the US. Microsoft's giving 6,000 employees the boot and Coinbase is going to the big leagues in the S&P 500. GM's working on fancy new EV batteries. It's all a big mishmash of excitement and blah. Eat my shorts!
